who call themselves Christians, on here are ridiculously ignorant of your religion?

For example, I have seen two who claim to follow Christianity, reply oddly about All Hallow's Eve (Hallowe'en) as being satanic and they steer their children far away from the holiday because in their mind it is "Hell"-oween.

One went on to further state that Christmas is the true holiday.

Doesn't that tick you off?
The primary Holy Day of Xianity is, of course, Easter and the days that accompany it. Not Xmas. And someone actually claimed that "shooting stars" are NOT meteors!

Please don't limit this question to Christians only.... I happen to cringe at some of the things I read here and I feel very annoyed by the bald faced ignorance displayed.

Christian or non, god-believer or non, knowledge is worth seeking and having.

I certainly look forward to the day that ones need for a sound education is looked upon as being far more important than his need for salvation or baptism or confirmation or what have you... Religiousness ought to take a willing back seat to our first requirement... an honest and well rounded education.

Ignorance is intolerable.

I steer my children away from it because of the money changing and the fact that there are sacrifices made on the day.. I believe element of the holiday is geared toward pagans not something Christians should be a part of .. In fact Christmas and Easter are as well and no I am not affiliated with a church that teaches this......

I can be me and you can be you ..That's the beauty of freedom!

It doesn't necessarily tick me off until they start claiming that people who don't believe exactly as they do will burn in Hell. As for the holidays, I'm a Christian and celebrate Halloween, Christmas, Easter, and many other holidays (let's not forget my favorite, Mardi Gras). If others want to miss out on these holidays because of their beliefs, that's their business, but I enjoy these celebrations, personally. I've heard their reasons for not observing these holidays, and I disagree with them. But each to his own.

Something like that doesn't tick me off too much. I do get pretty ticked off at the ignorant and hateful Christians, and even more ticked off when I get grouped in with them.

How people do or do not celebrate these holidays is up to their conscience and I do not try to persuade them in either direction.

Ignorance is really a matter of not knowing and can be changed. All of us are ignorant about something, it is not isolated to Christians.

No. They believe what they want as long as they don't try to come to my home and demand that in my house.

I enjoy any Holiday that I can have with my family and friends.

As long as they don't run around cutting people's heads off while shouting "Allahu Akbar!" and flying planes into buildings and stuff like that, I think they're entitled to whatever delusions they want to harbor. That's between God and them.

Isn't it amazing just how mythology can be twisted to serve the needs of whoever sees a new way to fleece gullible sheep?
