LDS beliefs are that Jesus Christ, because He is the Saviour of this world, is our intermediary. Just as we must be saved through Him, (No man shall come to the Father except it be through Jesus Christ), acknowledging Him as the mediator for us represents the Atonement of Jesus Christ, the link between mortality and immortality, the connection between the natural man and the spiritual man, the change from temporal life to eternal life. It is because of Him that mankind can be reconciled with their Heavenly Father and that we can overcome the walls of sin and mortality, these obstacles that represent spiritual and physical death.

Jesus is our Savior, the redeemer of mankind. He was the key figure in Heavenly Father's plan for all of us, His spirit children. We pray to God, the Eternal Father in the name of Christ because that is what we were commanded to do. Christ is the intermediary between God and man. Whatsoever we ask the Father in the name of Christ, believing that we shall receive, and it being in accordance with His will, it will be given. If we have been living according to the commandments, then the Holy Ghost will be prompting us in what His will is, and thus we will know what to ask for. We worship God, the Father, but do so in Jesus name as God requested and Jesus taught that we should do. They work together to bring to pass the immortality, eternal life and exaltation of mankind. No matter how hard we worship God, or pray to the Father, if we don't acknowledge Christ's part in the eternal plan for all of us, it will be to no avail. Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is the Christ. By believing in Christ, accepting His Gospel, obeying His word and living faithfully throughout mortality, we can become joint heirs with Christ in the Father's Kingdom. Salvation comes only in and through the Lord Jesus Christ. That is why we worship both the Father and the Son.

Funny...people on here criticize Mormons for not being Christian and then criticize them for worshiping Jesus Christ too much....funny.
Christ is one of the three members of the Godhead. He is our Saviour and our mediator before the father. In a sense, God represents the necessary justice, and Christ offers mercy (while fulfilling justice through his atonement.)
So we pray to the Father, in Christ's name.
Simple enough.

We believe in Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. We do not believe they are one person, but three separate, distinct personages that work together to bring about a common purpose.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is our savior, our redemeer, our friend and our brother. It is through His sacrifice that we gain salvation and eternal life. There is no other way to get to heaven then by following the commandments and laws that God has set up for us. That includes allowing the atonement to work for each of us- in other words, repenting daily for the sins we commit.
Here are a few hymns we sing in our meetings. They are beautiful and talk of Christ. I am also posting a website about our relationship with Christ, and what we think about Christ and God.

I will do my best to explane this to you. Jesus is our savior and God is his father. We belive there are 3 parts to the God head. 1 being God 2 being Jesus Christ and 3 being the Holy Gohost. We need all 3 in our lifes. But we focas on Jesus more than others becasue with out him we would not beable to return to our father. It is by his willing to do what the father ask that we are able to returne to live with our father again some day. When we say there is only one God its like saying I only have one dad. this is true but that doesnt mean that we have to forget about me becasue hes the dad... does that make sence.

Thank you for being wrong in the opposite direction. I see so many critics saying we don't worship Christ.
Jesus Christ is our mediator with Heavenly Father. It is through His atoning sacrifice that we can return to Him.

Jesus Christ is our intermediary with Heavenly Father. We worship God in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus paid the price for our sins. We have been commanded to take the name of Christ upon us.
I did a search on "name of Christ" on lds.org. The link provides the results. There are many interesting verses in there.

Well I'm not mormon, but I am Christian, and we worship Jesus because the bible says to. The father, the son, and the holy spirit, are all the same people. There are many verses in the bible that say they are the same people. Like the ten commandments say not to worship any other Gods and not to have idols but it tells you to give glory and worship the holy spirit and Jesus. Then it also says they are the same people. So that's probably why they worship Jesus because he is God...that's why I worship him, also because he's my savior.

Unlike other "Christian" Faiths, We Mormons Believe that Jesus is the Literal, Physical Son of God the Father.
Other "Christian" Faiths do not give him his Diety and Divine Sonship. They do not believe that Jesus is The Son of God, instead, they believe that he is an inbred schwag of his own making.
Therefore we do not believe in the same Jesus as the "Christians" because Jesus was The Only Begotton Son of God.
Modern "Chrisitans" have it wrong.

We worship Jesus so much because we are Christains. In the bible it says "What ever you should do, do it in my name" it is not our will. its his will. We say his name at the end of a pray because when you pray you are address God the father and we end a pray with in the name of Jesus Christ becaue we are doing so in his name.
