It may mean something as obvious as insecurity about keeping your child safe. It could be something else is worrying you, something as important to you as your child. You might have heard something recently on the news or somewhere else and your mind is still thinking it over.
I wouldn't think this needs to worry you unless you repeat the dream over and over. Then you might need to seek someone trustworthy to talk things over with; anxiety can be exhausting if it goes on too long.
Not all dreams of fearful things are predictors that bad things are going to happen.
