THAT BELONGS TO HIS FATHER!! unfortunately, his parents named him after his father, but with a different middle name.. but it's so hard now because almost all of his father's bad credit ends up on my fiance's credit report!! and we have worked so dang hard to get him good credit!!

well this time, it's a civil judgement from some jewelry store that they got a couple thousand dollars in jewelry and then hocked it all for cash.. anyway now the civil judgement is on my fiance's credit report.. i already did a dispute online with experian.. what else do i need to do?? i have dealt with cable companies, cell phone companies, etc. before for him, but i've never had to deal with a civil judgement.. what's the process for getting this removed?? and how can we further prevent his dad's crap from going on his credit?? it's really frustrating because he can't get a job or credit anywhere...

thanks everyone!!

make sure that you dispute all errors with the credit bureaus.Check with the court to make sure that the civil judgement is actually against his father. Some relatives have been known to use other's credit info to get credit and his father may have used your fiance's information. Talk to the credit bureaus about getting a fraud alert on his account to make sure that his father doesn t try to open credit with his info. Another suggestion is to officially change his name but thats a little extreme.

When it comes to this issue you pretty much have to a fraud alert on your husband social...so that in the near future any where he signs his name and uses the social they will have to contact him. Also whenever your husband is signing anothy have him write his entire name in full and any accounts that are already showing you that aren't his and are his fathers will have to be disputed and proof of ssc and his id will be needed..
