The kitchen... add marble counter tops and matching tile floor

Wood floors throughout

update bathrooms

create an outside space/landscaping... adding curb appeal

finish the basement to add to the number of bedrooms/bathrooms

First the kitchen and then the bathrooms. If you are selling also make sure it has curb appeal. Make sure the yard and flower beds are nicely done.

resist the urge to paint the walls in any color other than white or offwhite as potential buyers usually don't agree with your color choices and see this as an out-of-pocket expense to them to change it, even if it was just done

You need to be a little more specific. How many baths do you have? Do you have a master bath? Outdoor 'living' space?
