It depends on its condition. If it is quite nice and not worn, there are consignment shops that will pick it up and sell it for you. If not, donate it to Goodwill or the Salvation Army or yor local Veterans Group, get a receipt and take the tax deduction. Or last but not least, call 1-800-GOT-JUNK to pick it up and dispose of it.

YAHOO! has groups located in every state and community in the country consisting of members looking for specific items they want/need and or what to get rid of. Go to www.freecycle.org and find a group near you. You'll have your closets, garage, attic, basement, etc., cleaned out in no time as there are always tons of people willing to pick up your unwanted items. It's free and fun. Give it a try!

If you need a little extra cash try putting it online, In Utah we have a local want ad that I put all my larger items on so people can come and get it if they want it, I have sold ALOT of stuff on there, but if you want to donate it to charity, it is a tax write off.

i give mine to a non profit organization like the salvation army. They even usually pick it up at my house.
