Absolutely, the more you give the more God gives to you. And no one can beat God giving, no matter how you try.

The question is moot. We give and we receive. Whether or not it is better to give depends on your station in life. If you have nothing to begin with how can you give. And if you have a lot than maybe you should give a little. But the bottom line is do not be afraid to help your fellow man. If there is such a thing as heaven than maybe you can call it brownie points for your soul.

Absolutely! When one gives, the true meaning of happiness is experienced! When one gives, is like sowing a seed in one's time of need. Is not that receiving is bad. We should daily receive power, strenght, joy, peace, etc ... from God, but then we ought to give what He has given us to others in need. And when we give, we receive more from God. Therefore, the more we give to others, the more we will receive from God thus NEVER having any lack of anything.

Most definitely it is better to give than receive. What most people don't understand is when you give you receive at the same time. You receive inner peace and happiness from giving to others which is far greater than any physical gift one can receive.

It is written In the Bible, so it is true! God doesn't lie!!!
Acts 20:35 (NIV) "In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive'."
Besides, God gave us His Only Son and He hasn't received anything in return! He did it for LOVE - AGAPE, God's Love!

It sounds like something a Priest would say just before passing the collection plate.
If it is so much more of a blessing to give than to recieve then why do the rich avoid paying taxes so hard my dear.

Yes indeed! Giving is a blessing to the person giving as well as the person receiving. When we selflessly give to others, God will in turn give us back more than we gave.

I believe that a healthy person must give, but must also be willing to receive the gifts of others.
