You really have to ask yourself, is it honestly worth it? What am I gaining from being in this relationship? Does the happiness out weigh the stress she adds to your life?

Personally, when my long-time boyfriend and I are arguing or getting into a heated discussion I say I need an hour to myself to cool down. Usually I'll take a walk, go to the gym, even if I just go into a different room and watch tv. Anything to take my mind off of what is stressing me out.

Hope you find what works best for you! Good luck!

I have a friend that's going through the same thing with her boyfriend. He's got a lot of stress and upheaval in his life right now and it's stressing her out!

I told her to ask herself one simple question - do you care enough about the person to take on that kind of stress because 1/2 the time that's what relationships are? If not, then you shouldn't be in the relationship. If you do - then you need to find ways to let it go....help them find solutions, exercise, whatever it takes.

I get stressed very easily but my husband is very relaxed person with great social skills, so he handles me and my problems. I dont know what to advise you, perhaps find another partner? I consider myself so lucky to have a partner who is alwasy cheerful and who solves my problems.

are you partners or just friends?

either way, you need to realize that someone else's stress doesn't belong to you... you can be caring and supportive, but let the person work through their own problems.

if this is a partner, sometimes we need to discuss things.. let them know we care and will be there for them if they need someone to listen.

even though we can't fix someone else, sometimes a good listener helps.
