A while ago i pressed the button when you put in a DVD that says 'always do this action' (or something like that)... Now i no longer have that software and i want to make it so that my dvd automatically starts playing in windows media instead (at the moment i have to start it up manually) How do i change it so that this is possible? thanks for any help xx

Open My Computer. Right-click the DVD drive. Click the Auto-Play tab. Select DVD from the drop-down box. Then select Windows Media Player below it.

1.In Windows Media Player, click Tools, and then click Options.
2.On the File types tab, under Available File Formats, click Select All to select all of the file formats listed (or you can click to select each individual check box).
3.Click Apply, and then click OK.

Then put DVD in i think it will automatically play with WMP after you do those steps.

Hope this helps

Double click the My Computer icon on the desktop, right click the DVD drive icon, and click 'Properties.' Then click on the AutoPlay tab and you should be able to select the actions that you want for video files, music files, etc.
