protected by the Armies of the poorer?

Army of the poorer? Do your homework. There have been many National Guardsmen deployed to both theaters of operation in this war who lost money because of the difference between their civilian pay and their military pay and allowances. This volunteer army isn't coming from the "welfare gardens" of our inner cities. They are coming from well-off suburban communities. The level of educational achievement for the average enlisted man is higher than the draftee armies of the past. On some ships there are more college graduates manning the helm and the engine room than are gathered in the ward room for a meal.

The essense of being American is having to endure blabbing fools droning on about our flaws and shortcomings, you mustn't confuse your freedom of speech as a right to be stupid. Your rights were purchased in blood, the blood of a great many Americans. My kinsmen, not some unnamed faceless 'poorer', but some American son, brother or father who will never come home so you can run your mouth and say nothing important at all....
