Jesus Is NOT God !

Jesus is part of the Godhead, god the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus has the unique ability to be flesh and blood, so He could die on the cross. Since He went back to heaven, He cant die again.

Yes.

We have been saying that Jesus is God since the Apostle Thomas said, "My Lord and my God!" (John 20:28)

And John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." and John 1:14 "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth."

The Nicene Creed (from the year 325) talks about the nature of Jesus Christ:

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, one in being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and our salvation He came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit, He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried. On the third day He rose again in fulfillment of the scriptures: He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church explains what we believe in depth:

With love in Christ.

Jesus is the Son of God sent to redeem mankind.
Sin came through one man. (Adam)
Salvation come through one man. (Jesus)
There was a breech of direct orders from God by man. That brought separation between God and man. Mankind was created to have dominion over everything God created and serve God but because of sin (disobedience against God's order) there was no relationship between man and God anymore. Read Genesis 1:26 , God was not alone when He created man. He was referring to His Son and the Holy Spirit. Read the whole chapter of Genesis (3) three (the falling away of man from God). Read St. John 3:12-21. This should explain what you need to know. Ask the Lord to open your understanding so you can grasp it. It is too lengthy to try and explain on this page. It is already written. Ask your/a pastor/minister, they will help you understand better.
Sin was brought in by one man and caused death to all. Salvation had to be brought by another man to give salvation. Jesus had to experience everything we felt as humans so He came in human form to be acquainted with us. He knew no sin because He was an Immaculate conception, not produced by sinful man. (Matthew 1:18-20). He groaned and had excruciating pain for us (Isaiah 53:3-12). Jesus knows what we go through!

Jesus is God the Son - the Son of God. He is 1/3 of the Trinity. When he came to earth he willingly limited himself to the human body, which suffered and died on the cross. You're right that God cannot die. That's why he rose victorious and now offers each of us the same eternal life.

God is Spirit, as the Bible clearly states, so you are right in a way; God can not die. That is why God had to become a man, so it was possible to pay the price of sin and to take upon Himself the judgement for sin, which is death. Since the consequences of evil/sin are eternal our Saviour also had to be eternal. Since all of mankind has sinned and sins, our Saviour had to be sinless/perfect and only God fits that description. Jesus was truly and properly man and truly and properly God; not half man and half God.

Jesus is God and the son of God as it is said in the Bible. To the other part of the question, Jesus chose to physically die for us in order to save us from sin. He was later resurrected physically to fulfill prophecy. In one aspect Jesus as God did not die he just shed his mortal coil for a time.

The hypostatic union is the term used to describe how God the Son, Jesus Christ, took on a human nature, yet remained fully God at the same time. Jesus always had been God (John 8:58; 10:30), but at the incarnation Jesus took on human flesh - He became a human being (John 1:14). The addition of the human nature to the divine nature is Jesus, the God-man. This is the hypostatic union, Jesus Christ, one Person, fully God and fully man.

Jesus' two natures, human and divine, are inseparable. Jesus will forever be the God-man, fully God and fully human, two distinct natures in one Person. Jesus' humanity and divinity are not mixed, but are united without loss of separate identity. Jesus sometimes operated with the limitations of humanity (John 4:6; 19:28) and other times in the power of His deity (John 11:43; Matthew 14:18-21). In both, Jesus' actions were from His one Person. Jesus had two natures, but only one person or personality.

The doctrine of the hypostatic union is an attempt to explain how Jesus could be both God and man at the same time. It is ultimately, though, a doctrine that we are incapable of fully understanding. It is impossible for us to fully understand how God works. We, as finite human beings, should not expect to be able to comprehend an infinite God. Jesus is God’s Son in that He was conceived by the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35). But that does not mean Jesus did not exist before He was conceived. Jesus always has existed (John 8:58; 10:30). When Jesus was conceived, He became a human being in addition to being God (John 1:1,14).

Jesus is both God and man. Jesus has always been God, but He did not become a human being until He was conceived in Mary. Jesus became a human being so that He could identify with us in our struggles (Hebrews 2:17) and, more importantly, so that He could die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins (Philippians 2:5-11). In summary, the hypostatic union teaches that Jesus is both fully human and fully divine, that there is no mixture or dilution of either nature, and that He is one united Person, forever.

Yes he is. It is hard for us to understand the Holy Trinity. But think of it this way. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

I am a Father, Son and Brother.

scripture says that Jesus IS God wrapped in flesh....

"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." (1 tim.3:16)

who was manifest in the flesh?? Jesus
who was justified in the Spirit?? Jesus
who was seen of angels?? Jesus
who was preached unto the Gentiles?? Jesus
who was believed on in the world?? Jesus
who was received up into glory?? Jesus

this says that Jesus IS God.
