Hello Sista,
You are like me, I was born and raised Catholic, but there are a few things I don;t sgree with anymore now that I'm older and understand more and can read the bible on my own. Some people tell me that because I feel that way I am a Christian, but there are things Chrsistians do that I have seen and teach that I don;t believe in either. I come to the understanding that no religion Catholic, Chrisitian or whatever is perfect in the way the LORD wants it to be for us, so just believe in HIM and do the best that you can, be it going to church or praying on your own. There are good Christians and Catholics, but a lot of them are hypocrites stuck on "my religion is better than your religion stuff" instead of really worrying about if they're both wrong. Don't believe what your family wants you to believe just because it may freak them out, you may have these feelings because you are the only one in your family who;s eyes are truly opened. Take Care!

It would be helpful knowing if you are having these thoughts because you are having problems with the Catholic traditions peculiar to that denomination or if you are having problems with the whole idea of God, period. If it is just the Catholic traditions, try to understand that God is bigger than any denomination. Concentrate on him and let the "traditions" land where they may. Being a minor living in your parent's home, you are going to have to maintain respect for their religion, but you can find God in any religion.....and that's the only important thing. Talk to him as a friend, asking him to guide you.....leave theology to the priests and pastors for the time being until you are of age and on your own and can then decide what is truth.

Research, Read the bible! I know that your priest will also answer questions but research is the best way. You can check out books on other religions, or just read them. You don't have to feel uncatholic it is research. This does not mean that you are going against your families religion. You can talk to friends or religious leaders. A teen leader or other leaders. They can help you figure out what you are missing. Everybody in every faith go through a time when they feel disconnected or question their beliefs this is normal. Talk to ppl around you and you will find somebody who can help you.

If you're not comfortable with the customs and traditions of the Catholic church, God may be leading you away from this denomination. Pray about it and ask God to reveal to you what He wants you to do. He may want you to be a part of another denomination or to be Christian without the restraints of being a part of a particular denomination.

The most important factor is Jesus Christ. No matter what denomination a person wants to call themselves, there is one constant: Jesus. I am Methodist, Presbyterian, and Seventh-Day Adventist. Each one of these denominations attack other denominations, claiming to be the "remnant" religion, I'm sure Catholiscism does too.
My suggestion is: Go to church for what it is there for: to worship Christ and remember the sacrifice that was made for us on the cross. Don't let yourself get upset about the "rules" of religion. All denominations have them. If you were to switch denominations, you are likely to find fault with them as well. Remember, it's more about your "relationship" with Jesus Christ as opposed to your "religion."
Isn't it funny how we have lots of religions, but only one savior...

Define what it is that you are after. What's drawing you and to what? You told us that you didn't think that Catholicism is right for you, but what is?
If you trust God, then trust God. Find a promise that has to do with your situation, something that God has promised and hang onto it.
This comes to mind:
2 Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song;
he has become my salvation." (Isaiah 12)
If that promise speaks to you, then write it down and keep it with you. Pull it out often and tell God that you trust Him for it. He will assuredly show you and direct you into anything in life. All of God's promises are those He keeps.

Your body is not your life, it is nothing more than a house for your spirit.
We were born spirits in the image of our Father, God who arts in heaven, who also is spirit.
The image of God is His likeness, from His seed, God the Father has no shape, He is spirit.
God the Father's spirit is a part of His being, a good tree can not produce bad fruit. He teaches His Children by them seeing his actions and hearing his thoughts. His sence of what is good, is a part of them, it is sown in the hearts and minds, it is a part of you.
But there is another father, god the father who arts in hell.
He too has children, and his children take after his seed, and after his likeness.
The father of the wicked one, trys to make the children of God the Father kill his children, by means of deceit and greed, thereby causing the children of God the Father to sin by hating and killing.
The name of the man in Revelation 13:14-18 is Moses.

I don't know your age , so I can't say to just stop going to church with your family . You can sit in the church and think of the price of putty in Peru instead of the religious B.S.
At least putty is real .

read about other religions. thats a good start. no one can tell you what you believe. dont take anythign for granted. dont believe just to fit in. question everything. you will find what youre seeking.
it also might help to not tell your family for a while until you do figure it out. parents dont tend to take well to their children disolving their religion. the choice is yours!
