ive asked several questions concerning such topics as sasqautch, the mothman, etc
and everytime there are christians who call me wrong then try to explain why christianity is right
what is wrong with you?
if i wanted to know what you believed i would have asked specifically for that question
the christians are mad at the atheists for doing this, when in fact their doing the same thing
what is wrong with the christians? why do they call you wrong and try to tell you about their religion when you clearly dont care?

on the majority of the questions on here concerning athiests and christians, christians put athiests in the same boats.

We are! all of us are bad! Christians and Atheists!
I love you too dear. Love Love Love. (sarcasm)
My dear, we are not bad. We need better communication skills, and that includes all of us and you.
Edit:
Actually, dear Chad. The questions seems to be aimed at Christians. The question is comparing the Christians as bad as the Atheists, but the questions were for the Christians. Maybe you didn't mean that. But that what it looks like.
Take it easy. Life is SO short. If you are going to get upset over everything, you are not going to live well.
Live well, be well.

I think most people use this forum to not only express who the opposing opinion is false, but also to further the argument why their opinion is correct.
As far as Christians go, we also have the added burden as part of our faith to bring Jesus' teachings to as many people we can. Some of us do it better than others.
I can only guess that athiests have just as strong a desire to tell everyone there is no God.
The only difference would be a motive. The motive of the Christian is to bring people into the fold in hopes of eternal salvation.
What is the athiest motivation if the bottom line is you are alive, then you are dead?
All of us, believers and non-believers must at least acknowledge that in the scheme of things, our life here is extremely short and to proffer the belief there is nothing beyond or before, thereby rendering our existence useless, how does that benefit anyone?

Christians aren't taught that athiests are unhealthy, simply to not waste each time right here, or accomplice with them. An athiest individual has made their possess option not to search out God. If an athiest had ample knowledge approximately God, they might nonetheless no longer beleive within the spirit of God who created all that you'll be able to see and no longer see. Just make an effort to learn a NIV variant of the bible, you'll be able to make your possess assumption, on your own, it is a laugh to learn and in addition unhappy in lots of approaches. Think of the publication as a guilde publication, simply as a crook legislation publication is as good. You attempt to keep inside the consultant traces.

1. It is not Christians who claim to be right, it is God in the Bible
2. Atheists deny the existence of God whereas Christians do not.
3. I did not see your questions regarding sasquatch or the mothman so it isn't possible to disagree or agree with your assessment of the answers from those claiming to be Christians.
4. I do not beleive that there is such a thing as sasquatches.
5. I have not heard of "mothman" but would be interested to hear more for myself.

I dig what you are "trying" to say. There are some atheists who "camp out" in the spirituality section just to bash Christians, who in turn complain bitterly about it. But then there are some Christians who camp out in the mythology section or in the parapsychology section just to bash those interested in that type of thing. It is irritating that those particular Christians cannot see their own hypocrisy; and ironic how much like them some Atheists actually are.
NOTE: please notice that I took the time to use the word "some" and that I am not painting everyone with the same brush.

well you should think before you speak.
you cant sit there and judge EVERY christian because of a few close minded people who answered your question and you happened not to like their response.
Im a christian yet I believe in the possibility big foot might exist (would like to see it though)
never heard of mothman (sounds dumb)
But i believe that there are things out there that cant be explained that do happen (spirit, paranormal, ect.)
You seem to be very close minded yourself in thinking every christian is the same. And we all have the same opinions. I have never once tried to get someone to believe in something b/c i do, although i know ppl who are like that.
By the way your "question" is more like a statement of your opinion.

Chad, may I first suggest that you not categorize all Christians? Whenever I answer a question, I try to respond to the question being asked in as honest a way as possible. I have many Christian friends in this forum who do the same.
I have probably never responded to the questions you reference. There is a price to be paid by answering all questions in this forum. So I am very selective. When I see something like sasquatch, I have no personal experience to add and may suspect that the question is asked mockingly. So right or wrong I tend to avoid those questions.
I ask for forgiveness if I have ever called an atheist "bad" or anything else derogatorily. We may not agree on many issues, but I still believe they are my brothers and sisters. I also don't answer many of their questions. This is because I have found that many of them, like many of my fellow Christians, ask a question and don't want an honest answer. They simply are making a statement and looking for affirmation. This is fine - but I have learned not to participate.
Right now, I am being even more cautious as I received a violation notice on what I and others perceived as an honest and caring answer.
But I do agree with you on this. If you ask if I believe in sasquatch (as an example) I would feel no need to bring my faith into the question. I would tell you that I don't believe in sasquatch.
Jesus is my life, but he doesn't need to be in every conversation. :-)
Pastor John
Addendum: Chad, if I am a hypocrite, I apologize. But even your statement "more than half" indicates that not all Christians fit your question.

I am a Christian, but I have never tried to push it onto other people. I have friends who are atheists, and other religions too. As long as you're a good person, I don't care what sort of higher power you believe in. The fact is we all have the right to believe and say whatever we want. If you hate what Christians have to say so much, then don't listen to them.

I don't see the correlation between sasquatch, the moth man etc...and God. Sasquatch , mothman, etc...are not spiritual. If people think they are real thats fine, there is no proof that they aren't. I don't push my religion on anybody, but I do beleive in being prepared to help someone if they come seeking advice.

Yeah, that bugs me too.
However, I think that most of the Christians who get upset at others for proselytizing without being asked aren't the ones who do stuff like that. I know it peeves me, and I don't talk about my beliefs unless asked.
So, are you saved? Nah, j/k. BTW, mothman, fascinating stuff. I loved the movie. I have a weird connection to that, actually. Not elaborating here.
