Assalaam Alaikum Brother,

Brother please don’t mind what the no Muslims saying as if they can judge the difference between Islam and their religion they will not laugh at us. Remember the history these are the same peoples (Nonbelievers) who was laughing on our Holy Prophet (PBUH) so leave them. As Allah Said in Holy Quran (They will not listen to you even you explain them or not) So we can just pry for them May Allah Showed them the right way.

Well brother here I found answer of your question.

A Muslim male should not wear gold. Allaah's Messenger , said about gold and silk: “These are forbidden for the males of my Nation.” [Abu Daawood]

Allaah's Messenger , also said: "Wearing silk and gold has been forbidden for the males of my Nation and is permissible for its females." [At-Tirmithi]

Allaah's Messenger , saw a man wearing a gold ring and he took it off his finger and threw it aside, saying: "One of you takes a burning coal of fire and puts it on his hand." After Allaah's Messenger , left, it was said to the man: ‘Take your ring and benefit from it. (i.e. sell it and use its price).’ He replied: ‘No, by Allaah, I will never take it after Allaah's Messenger , threw it away.’" [Muslim]

5. There is no harm in a Muslim male having a silver ring or engraving his name on it to use it as adornment or as a type of engraving stamp for his letters or books, or as a kind of signature. Allaah's Messenger , used to have a silver ring that had engraved on it, "Muhammad, the Messenger of Allaah" and he used to wear it on the little finger of his left hand. Anas stated: "The ring of Allaah's Messenger , was on this" and he pointed to the little finger of his left hand. [Muslim]

Hope the above will help you.

May Allah (SWT) keep us all in his Rahama (Ameen)

Allah Hafiz

You can wear a silver wedding ring, but nothing else. The prophet had a ring like some poster provided, but he used it as a stamp, not as jewelry. Also, the sahabah used it for the same reason. Ibn Taymiyyah was asked that question and he said it's not allowed for a man to wear a ring unless he uses it for official purpose, such as being a judge or someone that need a special stamp. Needless to say, no gold ring is allowed, for judge or anything else...
And Allah knows best

Sunnah Ring

Yes, it is sunnah to wear a ring with a stone on the right ring finger. What is not allowed is wearing ring on your index finger both left and right, cos the Holy Messenger was reported to have said that it was the habit or the way that the sinful people of Lot wore it. Allahu a'lam.

Check the direct link below. It's somewhere in the middle of the article.

It is permissible for a man to wear rings and watches that contain precious metals or stones – other than gold – such as diamonds, because the basic principle is that they are permissible, and there is no evidence to suggest that that is not allowed, unless they are part of women’s jewellery such as bracelets and necklaces, in which case that is not allowed.

It says in Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah (24/77): Wearing rings is permissible for men if they are made of silver or precious stones, except for gold. End quote.

I have NO IDEA what NON-Muslims are doing in the Ramadan section!!!

ANYWAYS... wearing a ring (as long as its not gold) is a good thing in Islam...
I don't know how the class ring looks...
But this picture is a type of common ring I've seen very religious Muslim men wear...

They have Quran verses on them... so u have to wear them with Wodu...

AND those who know they can't be careful enough with the Quran verses wear the same kind but without the verses on them...

Oh n they're usually carnelian stone... mounted on silver rings...

It is sunnah for a man to wear a silver ring. As you stated gold is not permissable for a man (whether yellow or white gold).

Though you didn't ask another poster mentioned other jewelry. It is the general concensus that no other jewelry is permissable for men.

Well actually no u can't. In Islam, men can not wear any type of jewelery. Jewlery was created for women and it sayz so in the Qur'an, men can't wear jewlery [silver, platnum, gold, medal, ringz, bracletz, earingz, dimondz and so on]. Men and women in Islam both have dress codez and when it comez to jewelery for men, itz haram.

*No gold rings or yellow saffron dress for men.
'Ali bin Abu Talib (ra) narrated: The Messenger of Allah (saw) forbade wearing silk, and yellow clothes, and the gold ring and the reciting of the Qur'an in the Ruku' (state of bowing in prayer).'
(Muslim 1344)

Ibn Umar (ra) reported: The Messenger of Allah (saw) kept a silver ring in his hand, then Abu Bakr (ra) used it, Umar (ra) too wore it. Then Uthman (ra) used it until it was lost in Aris well. This ring had an inscription as "Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah."
(Muslim 1374)

Anas bin Malik (ra) reported: The Messenger of Allah (saw) wore a silver ring on his right hand, its stone was Abyssinian. He used to keep the stone on the face of his hand.
(Muslim 1377)

Wearing a SILVER ring is a Sunnah.
SILVER only.

May Allah S.W.T guide us all.
