My cat is around 8 years old, and just recently, he started peeing everywhere. He peed on my new bed, my dad's shoes, and anything lying on the ground.

He had surgery around a month ago, but we don't think this is the problem. His urethra was getting blocked because his urethra was very thin, so surgeons cut part of it off so he can' t get blocked. We are pretty sure his surgery has nothing to do with this problem. We are also sure it is not a mental problem, and he doesn't have an infection because the cat was on anti-biotics. This is probably not terriotorial either. Does anyone know what the problem is? Help!!

Make sure the cat box is clean. Also call the vet and see what he thinks may be behind this sudden change in behavior. Cats are funny and if they are mad at you they will resort to this. My cat used to pee on my ex-husbands belongings if they were on the floor because he was not nice to her. I never punished the cat for her behavior. I just wish I had thought of it first and he would have moved out sooner!

You just said he had a urinary tract disorder, so it is obviously not behavioral. Go to the vet and find out if the problem has recurred or if your cat needs a special diet. The blockage was caused by crystals and you need to make sure hte PH stays in the range where he won't get blocked agian. Poor kitty.

It sounds like you need to take the cat to the vet. 8 years old isn't that old, so it might be a medical problem.

Is your cat neutered? I would call the vet and ask a few of them is they know what the problem is.....Best of luck....

make sure you put a litter box in every room then. after about a week or so you should take him to the doc if this keeps happening constantly.
