Luke V, sure! like, Catholics are idolaters, Catholicism is a cult, Catholicism is of the devil, Catholics worship the dead, I could go on and on... but who knows, maybe you think those lies are truth. if so, it only means that you might be living in a lie.

The answers to this question are what really get me down. I find it hard to love protestants when they say these horrible lies about the True Church. I don't feel this way when atheists continually spout off with their silly drivel. Most of them are only snide little smarty-pants who think they sound cool. I can be patient with them. I have only read one or two intelligent atheists on this. What is so hard for me to understand are protestants who spend so much time in their study of the bible searching for the truth, yet they actually believe everything that they hear no matter how idiotic it is. My only recourse is to pray that they find the Truth they are looking for, and come home.

All the same people who tried to destory the Old Gods with lies and deceptions and it's standing.
I stand up for the Catholics, but they played thier part as well, and many still do.

There is nothing miraculous about the most weathly organization in the world surviving. Good politics, good management, a certain amount of ruthlessness, and a dedication to protect itself at all costs will ensure the survival of any organization.
Not a miracle at all. Just good planning. The gates of hell may not prevail...but apparently Dan Brown was a pretty good threat. Odd how easily they believe the faith of their members can be shaken.

yes it is. The gates of Hell shall not prevail over her is Truth. It doesn't say that the gates of hell wont try though. He is NOT sleeping in the boat and he is aware of every little thing that is being said against God and his bride the Church.

kinda like how the catholic church lies and deceives? and yet it's still intact and standing...it would take me writing a book to explain but religion serves many purposes in society when it comes to social control. you obviously aren't interested in the actual answer to your question, you're just trying to stir up arguments. but if you really are interested in why people hold on to religion even though there is no proof and it often is hypocritical get some books on the sociology of religion.

and the LORD continues to call those OUT of the mother harlot church (rev. 17, 18) saying ....
"Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. (rev. 18.4-5)
no doubt about it ... the LORD will have His vengeance upon the vatican & catholicism.

The catholic church is mighty in it's scope of political influence.
It will stand for centuries more because they prey on the weakness and vulnerability of people.
