Love and sex are two different things.

Love is the greatest gift you can give someone. Incidentally - love is worthless unless you give it away. And it can only be given unconditionally. Otherwise, it's not love.

Sex is, at its worst, a mechanical act used to sooth hormonal impulses - or for procreation. At its best, it's the manifestation of the love two people share for one another.

Please strive for the latter - if that means holding on to your virginity until that "special" person comes along - then so be it.

If you can't hold out for love - then please understand that - again - love and sex are not even comparable...

Well, I think if your in love with someone then them being a virgin or not shouldn't matter. Maybe they made a mistake, and they regret it. If you chastise someone for the mistakes in their past then your doing yourself no good. Just move on and live in the present, and develop a wonderful, meaningful relationship without judgment.

ditto to the first answer! love it is, coz its universal. virginity is more of a subjective topic. but dont lose it on the assumption that it is for love, especially if youre young. dont be confused. =)
