will religious fanatics bring about the end of days to fulfil their prophesies? Ignorance within religious organizations teaches their followers to show discontent toward their fellow man. It seems to me that some Christians are just waiting in anticipation for Judgement Day, what will happen when JD doesnt come; will they make it happen? we already see religious fanaticism in the east, what threat are our own people to the safety of our Nations?

I know not all Religious people are fanatics, that most are good, rounded individuals, but what about the ones that aren't?

I am an Atheist, and I agree with you, but not all religious types are evil, to think that, would border on paranoia

I worked for a while in the West Bank, and the strangest sight I ever saw, was loads of 'normal' Evangelical Christians coming across from America to give financial support to Russian Jews to live in settlements in the West Bank, building missionaries colleges on top of the mount of Olives...

Why was this, the Russian Jews did not want to live in armoured hill top forts in the middle of the Arabic camps and overcrowded villages, they wanted to get to America.

The Arabs did not want the Jews living in new compounds on their land, drinking water pumped up from their land, when they go dry, and cutting off their roads with security blockades to allow the Jews to travel into nearby Israel. They were also very offended by the young Christians trying to convert them to a version of Christianity much younger then the ones they already had in their communities.

The majority of secular Jews in Israel were slightly uncomfortable with these born again and Evangelical Christians giving all these cash presents to the new Russian settlers - upsetting the Arabs, and building universities that overlooked their holy sites.

The thing was that the Christians wanted Israel to be the same size as it is described in the book of Revelations, thus are pumping funds into the settlement of the occupied territories, pouring salt into the 60 year old wound, to make it possible for an end of the world prediction to become more of a reality.

Religion will bring an end of days and if it doesnt happen by God it will surely happen by religion. Religion warps minds and brainwashes people not to think for themselves but for an organization. To put it in a better way it is a very organized cult bent on the destuction of all that is evil. Mind you I don't talk about the individual people involved in religion but the word itself and what it can do to you. We should let God handle all that is evil and bless those who are under it's spell.
Many religious fanatics have their own agenda and are not for God and His true Word and you call these people wolves in sheep's clothing, like some of these evangelists on TV. And remember Judgement Day may be a word today but reality tomorrow. And it doesn't hurt to hope.

Hey bud,
I have always felt this way about the religious fanatics.
All the prophecies in the Bible I think have been self fulfilled prophecies. These ''Holy Rollers'' are very dangerous I keep thinking is one of them sitting at a desk with a button in front of them saying nuke the planet. These people are totally freaky this is how the world will end self fulfilled prophecies.
I intend no hateful discrimination towards all religious people just the extreme ones. No offence intended.

Religious people are not well rounded but in total disregard of all scientific proof and commonsense they continue to believe in some sort of cosmic comfort blanket and yes when challenged they always say that their beliefs are the only one that's right so there will always be conflict as is the nature of human behaviour suggest you read the excellent book by Professor Richard Dawkins "The God Delusion" will give you a balanced perspective in the debate of religion

It will come and not because of man or anything man will do.
It is Jehovah who will bring about the Judgement Day and Jehovah tells us threw the scriptures that he will take a jaw hook and make Satan fulfil his final role to attack Gods People so that Jehovah can show the world of mankind that He is the Universal Sovereign of the Universe and Satan was the god of this system of things.

Religion doesn't have to do anything. Man'kind' will bring about an apex of his own destruction. He's doing this well by himself.

Religion didn't produce germ or chemical warfare. Science did. Man's faith didn't produce nuclear bombs secular science did. Jesus didn't preach to destroy the environment to the point that it begins to destroy us. Humanity's exploit of technology for personal gain has done this. Man uses his talents for death and destruction. This is probably the only thing people have really gotten good at. Killing each other and the environment. Not in the name of God but, in the name of secular ambition.

It's only a matter of time before the system of greed and blood thirst comes to a collision course with those who created it. At the 109th Texas Academy of Science at Lamar University meeting in Beaumont, Texas, Dr. Eric Pianka said the planet would not be able to sustain life without drastic measures. He proposed the only solution was to destroy most of the planet’s populus with airborne Ebola, which kills in days, instead of years. He also received a standing ovation.

Sound familiar? This sounds very much like other noteable non Christians such as Mao, Pol Pot, Stalin, and Hitler. So see, you don't need faith at all to hate your fellow man? As a matter of fact; faith and murder are at odds with each other.

Faith really isn't based upon a 'religion' at all. It's a spiritual state of being based on Jesus as the foundation. It is not in conflict with what He teaches. It is based on Him and His love for us. Unlike sinful man whom only looks out for himself. So than who really is jeopardizing man's survival? The Lord who preaches to love one another and offers eternal salvation. Or is it evil men and women whom are only in pursuit of their own lusts at the expense of others and even themselves?

Some fanaticism is being dealt with as we speak. Afraid it is going to be a continuous war against it for quite a long time.
