My reason for believing is mainly rational thought. I am a Roman Catholic, and I find my religion logical, whereas I find other beliefs, including atheism, less logical. I do, however, believe that all faiths teach some profound truth and add a lot of value to society.

My definition of a Christian is someone who believes in Jesus is the son of God and that the bible is His God's inspired word.

As far as those who are saved, I don't think it is necessarily tied to religion. Although I think being a part of my own religion has some big advantages (otherwise I would not be a part of it) I do not think membership in any religion is a requisite for entrance into heaven. Rather, I think God sends us His grace and love, regardless of our creed. How we accept and share that grace and love will determine where we end up.

I believed because God is all around us. You can see God just as the wind, You can see the effects of God. The defination of the word Christian means "Christ-like". It was first used as a put down for people who followed Jesus the Christ. Being saved doesn't necessarily mean you believe in God, but that you believe of what Jesus said "I am" whoever believes in me will have eternal and everlasting life. I'm paraphrasing here of course. Believing in these things is not rational at first. The more I read and study the Bible, I am amazed at all of it just backing itself up all the time. the old testament talks about the New, and The New Testament talks about the Old. It is just amazing how much of the book of Revelation is taught in the OT.
Then, I have fellowship with Jesus everyday, and then it is very rational.

I am a Roman Catholic Christian . I believe in one God in 3 persons Father , Son and Holy Spirit. I believe Jesus became man and died for our sins and is risen from the dead. I believe you must believe in the name of the Lord Jesus , inspired by the Holy Spirit. I also believe there are many different paths to be saved but it all irrevocably comes down as to whether you believe in the Lord Jesus. What I mean by paths is your religious practices whether you are a Christian or other faith or following with sincerity of heart but eventually come to know the truth ,the way and life that is Jesus Christ. I believe God provides the path or paths but it is up to us to follow.

I don't. I look at sin completely differently. Sin is a separation from God. The greater the separation, the greater the sin. The idea of repentance is to (literally) "turn around." You may be a long ways off, but, if you are facing God, and headed towards Him, you are on the right track. Heinlein was changing the Wiccan idea: "an it harm none, do what you will." Which is similar to the Golden rule.

I believe that the Bible is the true word of God! However, I cherry-pick and interpret things relatively, so I actually don't follow the entire first half of the book. So it's sort of hard to tell what's REALLY the true word and what's not. I guess that kind of takes away credibility from the whole thing. So I've been basing my entire faith on a book that might not even be true...? Oh, man. Maybe I'm not a Christian. Wow. WOW! I just realized, this is so... delusional of me! Basing all my decisions off such a wild ideology. It doesn't even make sense. What was I thinking? Wow.

Yes to all 3. I was brought up to try to have balanced morals and be a good person. This coupled with studying of the Bible and faith has helped me to become a Christian, one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

To me a Christian is someone who strives to follow the teachings of God's son Jesus as found in the Bible.

I believe what I believe because I believe it to be True. I know Jesus Christ is the son of God and died on the cross for my sins. I consider a saved christian a person that believes in Jesus christ. I have a mind of my own and I believe In Heaven and Jesus christ. He answered my prayers and that is why I believe.

I believe in God because he is real. He saved me being saved and follow Christ is the best thing that I have done in my life. I wasn't just upbringing my mom believed in God but we did go to church much. I made that decision on my own. To me and I base this off the bible is that a Christian is someone who dwells or lives in Christ. The suffix ian means to live or dwell so Christ-ian is someone who lives in Christ. So what does that mean. If you know Christ then you follow all of His statues and commandments. From loving your neighbor, worshiping God and God alone, to being holy. The only people that I consider saved are those who follow God's word. This doesn't mean that once you get saved you are perfect but those who continually work on their walk with God and get better at it and do what God wants you to do are saved.
