there's obviously nothing wrong with nudity othewise we'd have been clothed in the womb. i think it's just the guilt factor that loss of touch with individual sexuality that leaves many people to feel that nudity is sinful and dirty.
edit: i get what rae c is saying, but we also are programmed with self control to not "stumble" when faced with a situation. it's part of the whole free will thing.

Before sin came into play, (thank you Adam & Eve) being nude wasn't an issue. If they had not sined we might to this day be walking in the nude. But that's not how it happened. After eating of the tree that God told them flat out not to eat from, he made clothes for them to where. They knew they were naked and felt ashamed of it. This is a Godly thing and I for one will not be walking around in the raw.
You ask for something other than what's in Gen. How much do you have to have to understand this is not what God says for us, to walk around showing everything to everyone? Are you looking for a way to justify it? You won't find it in the Bible. It's God's Way or Satan's way.

Nothing wrong w/ nudity per se.
Adam & Eve started out that way.
Nudity, is to share w/ your spouse,
bc it's an intimate thing to share yourself, in such a manner.
Have Respect for the gift God has given you,
Life. Yourself. (that means ur body)

Watch Gulliver's Travels (the LIVE version one done a few years ago)
there's a part in which he's @ trial and talking about "Yahoos", a bunch of primitive humans that ran around naked and were always obsessed with sex. So when the court started yelling at him that he was promoting immorality... he simply asked the judge if he was saying that all the moral and just people in the court room wouldn't be able to control themselves if all were naked.... Judge got all flabbergasted.
I thought that was a GREAT scene.
I personally dont want anyone but my BF/fiance/husband seeing me naked. But to each, their own.

Nudity leads to lust. Lust is the problem, not nudity. When you lust (fornicate) you not only sin against God by perverting one of the greatest gifts he ever gave you, you also take something very valuable away from your spouse - present or future - that you can never get back. Lusting may be fine for you. As for me and my family, we choose to do love right and enjoy it as much as it can possibly be enjoyed.

I don't have a problem with nudity , it was Adam & Eve that covered themselves after becoming imbarest for actes that they comited in disobedience to God.

Phyllis Schlafly and Pat Robertson are good arguments against Christian nudity.

I think there is a time when it is appropriate.
Not that it's dirty, but I would find concentration hard to maintain if I was working with someone attractive, also it could cause quite a health and safety problem, I would really like to avoid getting the package caught in anything.

Nudity is a natural state. As long as it is not perverted.

In our sex-satuarated society, nudity is inappropriate because 99_% of the time is does nothing but arouse well, arousal....and does not promote any true appreciation for the beauty of the human form.
It's all about sex, and that is NOT what God intended. He intended for the pleasure of the body to be given only to one's spouse- not the whole neighborhood.
