Send him a card inviting him to the hospital for the birth of the baby. Maybe even mail it to his work, if not mail it to your home.
Start talking about god parents and stuff, ask who he would like and when he say's what are you talking about, spill the beans.
Go buy a baby monitor and put it in the room where he sits most, he will ask why, just tell him you do not want to yell for him, you want to save it for the baby
Buy him a weekend for himself and his buddies, he will be sure to be curious and ask why. Let him know this is his bachelor party to fatherhood

Drop little hints all week and see how long it takes for him to figure it out:
Day 1: Use a "baby shower" table cloth for dinner and don't remove it until he guesses... If he asks tell him you think it's cute...
Day 2: Put a pacifier under his pillow... If he asks tell him you are waiting for the stork and then don't say another word...
Day 3: Buy a congratulations balloon... If he asks tell him that you are congratualting him and don't say another word...
Day 4: Drop off a father's day card at his work...
Day 5: Has it really taken this long for him to get it? You mean you still haven't told him yet? Well you must be having lots of fun you are on your own from here!

Remember that episode of Full House way back when when Becky had to tell Jesse she was pregnant? She made him a special dinner with baby back ribs, baby corn, baby carrots etc and asked him to guess what the theme was. He didn't get it. In the same episode, she drew it out in pictionary. Those were cute. Anyhoo. You could put a teddy bear on his side of the bed with a pink or blue balloon and let him find it when he comes home, or a baby sleeper in his briefcase or gym bag or something like that.
Congratulations!

they have some neat adorns out now for waiting for father and mom. I have been given on that's a mouse siting on suited of a pacifier that declares waiting for father and mom 2007. which would be distinctive. I advised my guy with 2 taking part in cards. One pronounced congrats that could be a woman and the different that could be a boy and placed them on the two area of his dinner plate one evening. Any way which you tell him will verify and mean something to the two considered one of you. Congrats on your new infant. satisfied vacations

If you already have a child, get them a "I'm going to be a big (brother/sister) shirt and let you hubby come home and see the shirt.
If not, then start loading up on baby things from family and friends and have them located in the house when he comes home from work.

If I didn't my wife was pregnant and she was. I would definently want to be surprised in a fun way. Ummm I would say from a guy's standpoint if he is in to sports get him a bunch of toddlers stuff in his favorite sports team apparel. I would find that cool. You could even use a favorite artist as well.

Send him a balloon saying: Congratulations! and a little card saying...you'll be a daddy soon :)
That would be a nice way of finding out.

Empty your bank accounts and wake him up every 1.5-2 hours...totally kidding.
Editing next day- sorry, didn't have a serious answer for you, ttc ourselves and haven't figured out how to tell my hubby when/if we get the '+'...but I figured it out this morning. Will give my 19 month old a note and send him to give it to his Dad, reading 'I'm going to be a big brother'.
