After first date( you`ve never seen before- only mails) if he said " since now i got your number so i`ll call " it means that he won`t.
I think that if he really means and wants it - he would ask you if you want to see him again.

It just depends on the guy I've had them set up second dates and times and then flake. So just because they ask to see you again doesn't mean they will.

i think the fact that he said he'll call you is a good sign. maybe he doesn't want to seem way too desparate? i recall reading it somewhere in one of those "date advice" column that tell guys not to be too eager, it might scare girls off. anyway, let's see if he calls within a week for a second date!

Guys will ask for a number if they are interested, few guys would ask and then not call, I good rule to follow is " I will give you my number if Ican get yours..."
