when she is done talking on the phone she hangs up without saying good bye and she does this to everybody...she thinks it's normal...am i making a big deal out of this????

That's weird... Does she realize it's rude and kind of awkward for the other person?? She wouldn't know how it feels to be on the other end because most people are polite enough to end the conversation with a "bye" when they talk to her. As a friend, you should tell her this. It will also help her in the future if she's ever talking to a boss on the phone, or clients if she's ever in a business that requires her being on the phone a lot. It's basic phone etiquette!

don't like it either, as I feel it is disrespectful, but I have learned over the years not take it personal. Just think of it as some people eat dinner at the dinner table faithfully, and some families (mine) pull up a TV tray in the front room and we all watch TV. This is what we feel is comfortable, and really don;t realize it's out of the norm until it's pointed out to us. My boss of eight years has the hang up habit, and I use to think she hated me, until I began to understand where she was coming from. Now, I even tease her for fun about it.

She's either weird or rude. Some people never learn common courtesy. Next time she does it, have a plan. When you see her, give her a hint about some gossip...when she says what are you talking about, tell her you told her on the phone the other day...yeah, it was at the end of the conversation...well, nevermind, I guess you didn't want to hear about it.

i would find it annoying too, but some people don't like to say goodbye. maybe tell her it bothers you and maybe she could say something like 'later' or maybe come up with something to make as an inside joke at the end of every call.

lol, nah ur not overeacting but basically she needs to kknow that she does need to say bye after shes finished speaking on the fone because she cant be doin iyt her whole life coz dats not good at all like you should tell her init

I'd find it sorta rude! Perhaps you could point it out to her in a joking way, enough so she'd get the point.

well if it bothers everybody somebody needs to grow some balls and tell her that it's annoying and she needs to atleast say goodbye. that should solve your problem.

What planet is this person from - that is totally rude. I would mention it to her in a nice way and tell her it bothers you.
