we are just classmates..he did not show any interest in me before..but last week we came across in the hallway and he asked me out for a movie(very casual)..
then at a party, he said to two female mutual friends: hey L(my name), did you tell them we went to see a movie together yesterday?
and my female friend said: you and P(his name) went out for a date! I responded: no..it is not a date..just hang out...
then he said: L(my name), you can not say it does not mean anything...
what does this mean?!?
then today we met in the cafeteria..he invited me to his new house for thanksgiving and also house warming...(of course there are other friends...)
so I do not get him...is he interested or just I think too much?

yes..i feel weird..why did he point it out to other girls??
it seems that he does not like me but just wants to show off or make other girls jealous...
am i right?

It seems to me that he want you as arm candy.
Why did he need to point it out to the other girls? To make them jealous?
Oh, and usually if a guy asks you out by yourself then you are on a date.
