He told me 2day that he's been offered a job in another store and im soooo worried about him leaving. He keeps basically saying that he'll stay if he's got me to stay for - wot should i do?? X

I've been reading your questions about this guy, and I'm sorry to say, he sounds sleazy to me. He reminds me waaaay to much of someone I've known, who told me he cared about me, but it became more and more obvious that he only saw me as a "plaything". He never got his way, and he turned into a major jerk. Strangely enough, he even talked about transferring to another city and watched for my reaction. His name isn't Rick by any chance, lol? I know what it feels like to be infatuated and addicted to that adrenaline rush you get from a flirtation. It'll just get harder and harder to walk away, and you'll end up getting hurt. Let him go.

It all depends on how MUCH OLDER he is. If your 22 and he's like 43 you shouldn't do that. It probably wouldn't work out. If he's only like 5 or 6 years older then that would be acceptable. Don't date a guy that is a lot older than you because in MOST cases it doesn't work out.

HOLY ****! He's 43 and your 18?? What are you thinking? No...no way! That's really really gross, you need to get away from that as soon as possible. eww...

Ages???? What if we're talking about 13 and 65 here. How do I know what "a lot older" means?

Quantify please...

Answer: Yes it can work, it's worked millions of times in the past.

Edit: 18 and 41 seems a big on the steep side in my opinion.

Id have no problem with a serious relationship with a woman much younger than me. Im 36 and would date someone 18 without even thinking twice about it.

If you have a connection, the age doesnt mean anything.

What is considered "a lot older"? How old are you and how old is he? Once you get that detail out in the open it might help me and others give better answers.

older men can teach you a lot in the ways of the world, but if he thinks staying in this position/store for you is the answer, he is not too wise, his career should come first, and if you two are meant "to be" his workplace
should notmatter one iota..otherwise i have alwways liked older men..until i got old myself!!LOL

sit down with him and talked things over with him . and if you really like this guy you should give him a few months to settle down in his new job and see what happens. sometime we think that we really do like the person but you really feel attracted to the person. and also age does not matter .

hell yes, if there can be honesty, some younger ladies find that it is so easy to make up excuses as to their intentions, all they have to do is not to let the age gap enter into thei relationship.
