when you know that the Bible forbids it? I don't count the initial two reproofs / rebukes as association. I'm not saying I haven't associated with any in violation of Scripture either.

I meant associate with the ones that won't repent of being sexually immoral, preaching a false gospel, and the other things Paul mentioned.

Catholic Crusader: "The problem is that no man can tell who is a "false" Christian."
Is that why you are harassing non-Catholics? Is that why Jesus said, "You will know them by their fruits" and to beware of wolves in sheep's clothing, heretic hypocrite? False Catholic?

research woman: "God gave us free will and therefore predestination is not even a factor in this question."
Yes slow one, it is a factor BECAUSE I AM ASKING CHRISTIANS WHO BELIEVE IN PREDESTINATION, NOT HERETIC HYPOCRITES WHO DON'T AND IGNORE WHAT SCRIPTURE SAYS ABOUT PREDESTINATION. IS THAT UNDERSTOOD MISS KNOW IT ALL?
research woman: We all have choice and sometimes we choose wrong.
Wow really? And I didn't know that? Why are you stating the utter obvious Miss Know it All?
"That is why we need to consider what the bible says about matters to make sure we are applying it in our life today."
Then consider what it says about predestination, arrogance, hypocrisy, and being respectful.

Smiles, where did I say Scripture says not to associate with non-believers?
But anyways, here is one that says so, but has qualifications:
"Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces." - Matthew 7:6

"Believe, repent, and obey."
We must:
believe and trust in Christ (John 3:16);
repent and be baptized in the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost for the remission of sins (Matthew 28:19, John 3:3-5, Acts 2:38);
obey the will of the Father and keep the commandments (Matthew 7:21, Matthew 19:16-19);
eat the Body of Christ (John 6:51-69) -- but not unworthily, and only after discerning the Lord's Body lest we eat damnation onto ourselves (I Corinthians 11:23-30);
judge ourselves (1 Corinthians 11:28-31) and, when we fall, confess our sins to those to whom Christ has given the authority to forgive sins in His Name, and to obey that authority when it comes to what is bound and loosed (Matthew 9:5-8, Matthew 18:18, John 20:21-23, 2 Corinthians 5:18);
love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31).

Your Answer:
God gave us free will and therefore predestination is not even a factor in this question. We all have choice and sometimes we choose wrong. That is why we need to consider what the bible says about matters to make sure we are applying it in our life today. The principles in it hold just as true today as they did thousands of years ago. That is why Jesus said that taking in knowledge of the only true God means life everlasting. What a loving provision he gave to us through his prophets the word of God, and life through the ransom sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ.
As far as association the bible tells us that bad association spoils useful habits. To try to help those in unfortunate circumstances is different than hanging out with them every day just for fun.

We as Chistians, live in this world. Even though we are new creatures in Christ, we are still in the old vessel (our bodies) and are living on this earth. We are to help be an example of Christ, applying to our lifes the lessons taught in scripture. That God may thru us show love to our neighbors(all the world), believers and nonbelievers. Even Christ showed compassion and love and associated with sinners. We know not who the practicing Christians are, to the "Playing the role Christians" are. Yes, over time, their fruit will be revealed. Actions speak louder than words sometimes. Only God knows for sure.
We are to be the lights of the world, to point the way to the Lord.
If you have a scripture that states we are not to associate with others,(non-believers) than please produce same.
Thanks.

Paul also said that we can't ALL TOGETHER disassociate
with such, because we would have to leave this world to
do so. Paul basically was saying "a little leaven can leaven
the whole lump", so put-out anyone, who is in your gospel
fellowship, who is such a one. No, most "religions" want
the wicked to fellowship with them & this is one reason for
the fall of these religions. A LITTLE LEAVEN DOES
LEAVEN THE WHOLE LUMP; as is said about the rotten
apple.

We are definitely encouraged to disassociate from immoral members of the church, professing to know Christ.
Read First Corinthians Chapter Five.
Apparently the Church at Corinth kept fellowship with a "brother" who was sleeping with his step-mother.
"Are you not to judge those inside the church? GOD will judge those outside. Expel the wicked man from among you." I Corinthians 5:12-13

Predestination? Does that mean that no matter what you try, you cannot ever change whether you go to Heaven or Hell?
Why bother, then? Why not just "live it up," and count on predestination to take you wherever you were going to go anyway?
Kills free will, too.

First of all predestination is an unbiblical belief. God knows who will turn to him and who will not, but he doesn't orchestrate it. Second, I think we should live by Christ's example. He went out of his way to eat with sinners, but if I remember correctly, the only time he associated with religious hypocrites was when they approached him first.

The problem is that no man can tell who is a "false" Christian. Only God knows the hearts of men. Looks can be decieving. (Personally, I'm dubious of churches where every man is in a pressed suit and every gal has a buffont hairdo. Jesus came for sinners, and His Church should be full of sinners seeking His forgiveness. That's why I love all the tore-up looking people in my parish.)

This is like asking someone who is a member of the Westboro "Baptist" Church if they would continue to associate with one of their own children if that child was homosexual.......
