Q)How did the universe come to exist?

A) By Actions driven by laws.

Actions need an event handler. If anybody understand programming, in order to excute an action (e.g. pop up window), you need to CREATE an event handler (e.g. onclick event) in order for an action to take place.

In other words, for ANYTHING to happen there has to be instructions for that event to take place. The programer First creates the event handler with specific instructions for the desired action occur.

So action without an event handler does not exist. Event handler without a programer does not exist.

So before there was the Universe there was a programer, and that programer is God.

It is impossible to have event handlers without a programer.

I'd point to the hole in that argument, but in fact it's almost entirely hole.

You've fallen prey to the fact that you believe too strongly - it has gotten in the way of your ability to see that you're simply stating a string of assumptions that support your belief, rather than providing any kind of remotely logical proof of that belief.

So you mean if God was running windows there would be a BSOD and not life? What about all the exceptions that are not trapped, the issues not handled in code? Would you really attempt to say that nothing random occurs in a program? An intelligent design does not mean a functioning product, it just means a lot of thought regardless of the euphemism it has become.

Actions can occur without an event handler. If anything occurs it is put in the stack.

You are really making an analogy to simple on and off states. All of computer science starts at the binary level so your answer if really:

A) Because of Yes or No

Does God exist?

Yes or No

Just doesn't prove it to me.

I sure don't want a reboot to happen.

The universe is not a computer program. Just because an event handler requires a programmer does not mean that everything in existence does.

So no, you have not succeeded in proving that there is an intelligent designer who created the universe in life. Even if you were able to do so, good luck proving that 'intelligent designer' was the God of the Bible.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. That does not prove anything. Comparing computer programming with the creation of the universe doesn't solve anything, man. I'm not discrediting the fact that there could be a God, though I don't personally beleive so (doesn't make it a fact just cus I beleive it) your "theory" does not have a lot of substance to it. Sorry man but it doesn't. If it did then the question would be who created the creator of the universe? The programmer is not the ultimate so therefore according to your theory someone created the programmer, so who created the creator of the programmer??

No, you did not prove anything. Just because we can't determine what the initial cause was now, does not mean there wasn't a cause. Everything you don't understand you attribute to god. christians used to say the world was flat, that it was the center of the universe, that thinking happened in the heart, that bats were birds, etc. All of those have been proven wrong. Will you ever admit to being wrong?

To those who ask who created God or how do we know He existed are a bit ridiculous. I don't know what your mentality is when you comment. But what I am getting here is arrogance and ignorance. YOU CANNOT FIGURE OUT GOD!! He wouldn't be all that great if He were just as smart as the average guy, so easily figured out. Everything has a creator. Look at everything, all are created by a CREATOR. What did the computer you're using right now just come out of nowhere. To the asker: You hold God very dear to your heart and no one can take that away, but you have to realize even if you presented very concrete, well-documented, evidence (like we have in the past), they would continue on with their arguements and throw out any ideas that screw up their theories. Why do you think all those scientists have started out on a quest to figure out God and then became Christians themselves, BECAUSE YOU CAN'T FIGURE OUT GOD. You're smart enough to know that, I am smart enough to know that, we just got to stop preaching to the narrow-minded. May God be with you always. Keep on keepin' on!! Take care of yourself.

So who created the event handler that created the programmer?

Wrapping up the same old crappy argument in a shiny new analogy doesn't alter the fundamental crappiness of the argument.

Supernatural is "cause" and natural is "effect"

Studying "effect" only will not lead to proof of "cause",
only a shadowy reflection of cause at best!

That is why science can not prove God.
It only deals in the natural, the effect, without
being able to study cause.

The Bible says that "now we see as through a
dark, hazy glass (i.e. reflection) but will see
face to face."

"Love surpasses knowledge"

Now we have these, "Faith, hope and love, and the
greatest of these is love" (love from God - that is what
we have for sure, not knowledge - knowledge is
more ellusive and much more limited than love)

There is no way around pre-supposition!
Either we pre-suppose that the universe derived
from nothing, or that it derived from the supernatural.

Science is not everything and is not to be "deified"
Science can not really ever explain life, only observe it!

God shows us things in His word that point to
His understanding of us - that He knows us
better than we know ourselves.
It is about the love of God!
It is about being faithful to the living God
we serve!
It is about no longer being blind to God's
faithfullness and becoming spiritually alive!

You are right. Who created God? GOD IS.

We are man and are mortals and have a finite understanding of the world and especially about the universe. Man has the ability to reason things out. But man does not know or understand everything there is about the universe. Least of all God.

Therefore it was the creator God that revealed himself to man one of his created beings instead. And man is created in God's spiritual image so that if we have faith we can learn to understand who and what he is. God's word is the only way man would know there was a true God who created all things.

As for how God was created he said in his word instead that he always is. God told Moses he is "I AM."

That's not proof because another possibility is the possibility (and probability) that the universe and life always existed in one form or another. Basic physics laws state that energy cannot be created or destroyed and is in a constant state of evolution.

A- There is no "before" the universe. Causality does not apply, and an event handler won't do anything.

B- There is a time "before the universe". You need an event handler to create your programmer.
