For me....I see "Religion" as a means to an end.
You can take a train, a bus, a car, an airplane or walk....and you all wind up at the same destination.

If YOU are looking for God, you will find him. In your own time and in your own way. And that may very well change over the years. Keep your mind on the Gold.....and don't let politics suck you in.

I don't say that any religion is the "only way." But Jesus did say He was the only way to heaven. Since He was in on the creating of heaven, earth and people I'd say He has every right to claim the way. Since we are the creation and not the creator, what rights do we have to say how things should be?

This is precisely why religion should be of no use for the believers as well as nonbelievers.
Believers shouldn't need a middle man to get them connected to their Creator and the nonbelievers are obviously not in need of a religion either.
I happen to believe in God, but my God doesn't condemn people based on labels, nor would He damn people to eternal hell just because they were born into one religion vs another. God is a personal matter and He should never be shoved down anyone's throat. They'll know where to find Him, if they so choose and they don't need a religion tto dictate to them how they should do it.

People assume they have a right to believe whatever they want or to believe nothing at all. That's just the way life is.

You see it in politics all the time too. Human nature is to think one is better informed that anyone else.

Freedom of speech. Freedom of religion. Freedom of thought. People can presume whatever they want.

Same things that let you presume they're doing something wrong.

Because Jesus Christ, who raised people from the dead, healed the sick with a word and cast out demons in the presence of thousands of eyewitnesses, said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. " John 14:6.
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. " Acts 4:12

Excellent question, my friend. When I was in Bible College, we studied Christian Cults. On the the things that MADE them be categorized as a cult was that they claimed to be the only way to heaven. Like they had dibs on God.
