Show me chapter and verse where it says that in the Bible. The following verse tells us how to be saved. It says nothing about the Catholic Church.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Not according to the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Church teaches:

Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements.

Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church.

All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him.

With love in Christ.

Your question is specious because your premise is faulty. Since the Roman Catholic church doesn't even believe this, how do you come to believe this?

There are some Catholics who are saved, not because they are Catholic, but because they have come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior. In other words, because they have spiritually bowed the knee at the throne of Jesus.

i am southern baptist and believe that you do not have to be catholic to be saved. the only "truth" is what Christ tells us. And what Christ tells us is that "he who believes in Me has everlasting life." (John 6:47) only because of denominations do people think that their way is right. i personally HATE religion and denominations. i only choose SB because ive learned more about the Word of God there than I did growing up in the lutheran church. But i dont think they are not saved just because they are lutheran, or methodist, or catholic, of baptist. Everyone has their questions about one another, like mine, why do catholics give so much praise to Mary? nowhere have i read, not saying its not there, where Christ said to "praise my mom." some clarification on that would be great. but even though you may be catholic and me southern baptist, ill still be giving you a high five in heaven.

There is nothing in this verse that mentions you have to be Catholic. I use to be Catholic but after I started reading the Bible, the Holy Spirit taught me the right way and not to follow man' s law. I pray the Holy Spirit will guide you to!

I am Roman Catholic and I disagree with you. The Pope is Roman Catholic and he disagrees with you.

From the Catechism of the Catholic church chapter 847: Those who, through no fault of their own, do not know the Gospel of Christ or his Church, but who nevertheless seek God with a sincere heart, and, moved by grace, try in their actions to do his will as they know it through the dictates of their conscience—those too may achieve eternal salvation.

This is not a "fact" but an article of faith, which by its very nature can't be objectively proven. Since no one has ever died, gone to Heaven and then come back to life to tell us about it, no one on Earth knows what the afterlife is really like or even if it exists at all. All we have are beliefs. No "facts".

Every single religeon states that you would have to be that particular religeon in order to be saved. If you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins and that you are washed in his blood, then that is what you need to believe in order to be saved and enter the kingdom of heaven.

It is not a fact. Someone correct me if I am wrong but there is no mention of any type of denominations. Denominations are man made. If you are christian we all believe in the same thing. So dont be fooled by that.

Fact: The Jews Are the Chosen People

Fact: You can only know G-d thru Allah & his Prophets

Fact: You must accept Christ as G-d to be Saved

Fact:You are all so wrapped up in your own religions, you have forgotten to be Spiritual and follow G-ds one law; love your fellow as you would yourself.

Stop hating yourself and you may be able to stop hating each other!

I've heard so many other religions and sects use that same old cue-card line. "My religion is the true one. Why do so many people not want the truth?" There is absolutely no reason why I should take your word over any of theirs.
