You can't. It's not legal & there's no way the DMV will allow it. A title is always necessary to own a car. If there's a lein on it at the bank, they hold it, but the title is still in your name. If you have no title, your going to have to get a replacement. The DMV will assist you in getting it. You may have to prove there's no lien on it.

Go to the Secretary of State's office in your area. Sounds like a duplicate title will have to be issued if the original is lost. Don't buy a car without the title as it may be stolen.

The Title is WHAT your name goes on.....Without the title, there is nowhere to PUT your name.
Why do you not have the title? More info is needed before we can tell you the exact answer, although the above answers are good.

specific you are able to. there's no regulation against possessing a automobile. Heck, Bow Wow (the rapper) offered a Jaguar whilst he became 12. There are, even however, rules against registering a automobile in case you haven't any longer have been given a license. It in simple terms skill you heavily isn't waiting to get plates for it till your mom registers it in her call for now or till you get your license.

Your going to have to go DIRECTLY to the DMV for this one. It can be done, just has more paperwork. Title transfer application, an original bill of sale, the current registration and I think there is one more but I can't remember what it is. The DMV will let you know what is needed.
It CAN be done, just going to take longer than usual.
