Health-wise, whole-wheat bread is better for you. White bread is a negative food, meaning it's missing the vitamins, etc to take in and if you eat it, it will remove vitamins from your own body to process it instead of giving you vitamins. And, white bread will raise the blood sugar of a diabetic greater than with whole wheat bread. But both will raise the blood sugar because both are carbohydrates - just one (the white) has more carbs than the other. Make sure the ingredients say whole-wheat. If it just says wheat flour, you really aren't getting anything much better than the white. I just looked at the wheat flour I feed my critters and it says Enriched wheat flour which means they tried to add the vitamins back in that were removed in the processing of the flour.

Better in what way? Tasting? That's an opinion.

Healthier? That would be the wheat (although whole grain is better than either). Most health conscious eating plans nowadays will suggest people avoid or eat only rarely anything white (pasta made from white flour, potatoes, white bread, rice, etc)

Read the label because most "wheat" breads don't have any more fiber than white. If it isn't made with whole wheat flour then it's brown white bread basically.
If you're talking taste it's your preference but if you're talking about health then go with whole wheat.

Better as in healthier or better as in what do we prefer.

Whole grain bread is full of healthy fiber, however you have to read the ingredients as much will say enriched white flour, you don't want to see white flour listed as an ingredient.

As to which taste better, that is totally subjective. I prefer whole grain bread for almost everything but if I'm making french toast, only white bread will do.

As in what tastes better or which is healthier for you? I like the way both taste, but wheat bread has more nutrients then white bread. But eat whichever one you like best!

wheat bread is better cause it's much healthier as it has fibre in it and it has a lower glycemic index.. and this means wheat bread takes a slower rate to digest and so you'll be fuller for a longer period of time... so wheat bread is better... definately!!!
