Oh and, try not to run to the moderators to delete this question like you did the last three times I asked it, atheists. I know it's embarassing you can't answer except by making "cuz I said so" and by using answers like that horribly arrogant, blind, and disgrace to mankind one by Chris which was virtually,
"Wow, you really need to do research, ignorant people are horrible aren't they? I'm so arrogant and wise in my own eyes that it didn't occur to me that your question counts as research and that I am a hypocrite by not answering and making fun of you for using yahoo answers, which I too am using."
Shakes head at atheists.
This question must be a real big threat to the moderators and atheists to always run to delete this question. Try not to be such cowards and sore losers this time eh?

Shaz, it is CHRISTIAN tax dollars not simply AMERICAN, and I said CHRISTIAN not AMERICAN. Did you notice that? You did, but you took it out of CONTEXT. I did not say ONLY CHRISTIAN. And can you figure out why I said Christian rather than American now?

Hint Shaz, for example, Brent Y the trolling hypocrite's wine: "Christians stealing OUR tax dollars". Or he said "my". Even if he said "our" we all know he would mean ATHEISTS' tax dollars. Get it now?

Ares, you did not answer my question. Furthermore, Creationism IS SCIENCE, unless you can "disprove that".
And evolution is NOT science, it a word describing a process by which a simpler organism becomes more complex or adapts to it's environment. Doh.
Furthermore, evolutionary science, Ares the vague, is not beneficial in and of itself merely because it is called a science is it? Or can you disprove that?

Hmm Megatron, last time I checked Megatron, lover of evil, Christians were citizens of the United States and paid taxes, right bigot? Last time I checked hypocrite, Christians, especially Calvinistic Christians, were helping homeless atheists and atheists in prison, and atheists and animists in other countries, who were begging for help, while those who love to bash their opinions in deliberate laziness and ignorance, "have fun" and drink "four more beers".
And Bad Liberal, what a great representative of atheist cop-out, question-dodging, sore loser, STUMPED atheists you are.
Poor baby, stop whining, and grow up lie lover. Stop being a coward, stop accusing, stop abusing and reporting people merely for loving God and disagreeing with you. Why are you so intolerant?
Thank you for showing what your kind supports, not the truth, but bashing those who disagree with you and then running away in cowardice and hatred. What more needs to be said since you have spoken for your people?

Bad Liberal: "Flu vaccines"
Hey, ignorant genius, didn't I say not to repeat Chris' historical mistake? Did you read my response to him on the previous question, this same question which evil liars like you rushed to delete when I exposed Chris' massive stupidity and Mr. Hand Over Your Tax Dollars' "cuz I said so" citationless answer?
See, if you evil ones would stop deleting, and stop bashing and running away in a rush, and bothered to RESEARCH like you gloat that I do not do, and so slander me, you would know that VACCINES YOU HYPOCRITE WERE BEING USED BEFORE DARWIN WAS EVEN BORN. YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT I AM A HISTORIAN IN WESTERN EPIDEMICS AND HAD NO BUSINESS PRETENDING TO CLAIM THAT "WOW [YOU] NEED TO DO RESEARCH" AND CALL ME IGNORANT, AND YOU WOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT VACCINES HAVE KILLED MORE PEOPLE THAN HELPED, AND THAT MANY VACCINES HAVE LEAD TO BABIES WITH AUTISM AND OTHER KINDS OF BRAIN DAMAGE.
NOW STOP CASUALLY LYING YOU HYPOCRITE.

I'd like to know the answer to this question too, Chosen by Grace. Darwinists have a stranglehold on schools and universities and use it to censor opposing viewpoints and destroy the careers of anyone who questions their dogmas.
The fact is that Darwinism has given us exactly nothing of any value. For example, it has not provided any useful information for immunization by allowing animal testing of vaccines. Noting the similarities among species does not depend on speculations about species transforming into other species.
The reason is that Darwinism is essentially unfalsifiable. It explains everything, which means that it explains nothing. No scientific discovery can apparently count against Darwinism, including microscopic machinery in cells with irreducible complexity.
But Darwinism is not without consequences. Columbine killers Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 12 people and themselves in the worst school shooting in U.S. history. Their goal was to bring death to more than 500. Harris wrote on his website, “YOU KNOW WHAT I LOVE??? Natural SELECTION! It’s the best thing that ever happened to the Earth. Getting rid of all the stupid and weak organisms.”
Inspirational, isn't it?
Cheers,
Bruce

Well While I will admit that I do not know how it has advanced science. I would say that its not only Christians tax money that is used for it. I am not a Christian and I pay taxes as well. I think that the important part is that evolution is a scientific theory that has proof behind it. While Creationism is a religious thing that the only proof it has is the bible. This would be the best explanation why schools should teach evolution and not creationism. Also I would argue that America was created with separation of Church and State. Schools are a State facility. Creationism is a Church belief. Therefore they should be separated. How would you feel about your tax money if you had to pay even more taxes because they decided to teach Creationism AND every other religious belief in the creation of earth? because if they taught creationism they would have to teach the rest as well. Evolution is exempt because it has nothing to do with religion. It has to do with science. I would argue that teaching ALL the forms of how the world was created would not only confuse almost all the kids that go to school but would also cost a large amount more for taxpayers, whether they are christian or not.

No. I definatly believe Intelligent design should be taught alongside it. Intelligent design is nothing more than the theory that something divine and intelligent created the universe, and explains holes in the evolution theory as well. Since both are still only theories and neither one is accepted as scientific fact. There is still much we have to learn about how the universe came about. Creation according to Genesis, while I do believe in it, is not based on science but the Biblical account. We Christians cannot even agree among ourselves as to what the correct interpretation is anyway. Inteligent design along side evolution? Yes, Creationism alone? No.

Well one it was AMERICAN tax dollars..not christian. the currency of America belongs to all Americans...not just the christies. Those taxes were collected because people are AMERICAN..not christian
As for deleting it I have never done so, but have seen a vast number of christies do it for it to be wrong for the other side to turn that weapon back on the christies.
Now how has it advanced science...
Well there is the "it's better to know the truth no matter how unhappy truth makes you" idea. The more we find the more we can track the human genome and understand how it might change as the years take their toll.
There is the knowing your true past as how it came to be...because teaching kids fairy tales does NOT help them in the future.
We can use what we know about it to help breed animals and also to breed bacteria as evolution can be observed in real time due to their fast life cycles...this can give us medicines.
The more we learn of how humanity came to be as it is the more we understand of our own biology and the relationship between our genetic coding and our current physiology/mental states.
There is the fact that science is a quest of discovery, a search for truth in any of its forms.
Now it is implied by your question that you are a strong believer in Christianity and good for you. However, for you to assume that your "faith" makes you in any way superior is a false idea and does not in any way qualify you to claim ownership of the taxes collected or how the government spends them.
I think it a little tacky to piss+moan how "christian" money is spent when christian churches pay no taxes to the government. Kinda like a homeless person calling a house a dump.
I like friends every…> Um..no. The Theory of Evoltuion has been attacked for like 150 yrs and it is still standing...other scientists (who know a helluva lot more about this than your son, you, or me) looks for flaws and do what they can to disprove it or find out what the flaws mean because THAT is the scientific method....and after all this the scientific community says Evolution is the way it goes...that thrashes you whole "not much too it" idea into atom sized bits. Evolution in no way refuted God's existance...only someone who lacks any tiny morsel of faith would think that way.
Bruce>You are just flat out wrong...so wrong I am surprised you are even online
elaine30705> You are a total liar...the whole "Darwin recanted" was proved as 100% BS. It was a bold faced lie told by a christie (because lying and killing are ok if you are a christie) when Darwin was on his deathbed and Darwin's daughter who was by his side testified that Darwin did NOT recant Evolution. You are a complete liar and if it is people like you on the side of God...then sign me up for service in the Devil's army because I chose morality and decency over lies.

Other than Christians' tax money, it also comes from Hindus and Buddhists and Muslims and Jews and atheists... tax money from all types of people
if we were to teach, as creation does, that the Earth is 6000 years old because the Bible says so, you cannot teach that in school because you need some sort of universal basis, especially considering that the current Pope, previous Pope, and several other religous leaders (http://www.ncseweb.org/resources/articles/5025_statements_from_religious_orga_12_19_2002.asp) have stated there is no conflict with God and evolution
I would be glad to answer any questions you have about the scientific evidence for evolution and against young-earth creation, please use the Yahoo Answers messaging system and include your e-mail if you don't have reply enabled
evolution has taught us a great deal about the development of life. It has brought us the concepts of natural selection and speciation, which creationists do not disagree with. Evolution is a major part of what creationists believe (Answers in Genesis)

How does teaching science advance science? Well, muppet, nothing new can be found without knowledge of what has been found so far. So, those who understand what we already know about how evolution works (that group excludes you, if I may be excused stating the bloody obvious) are in the best position to find some more details. Or maybe even find conclusive proof that Darwin was wrong. It's unlikely that that will ever happen, but even Richard Dawkins would say (in fact, has said) that it's not impossible.
The scientific method is all about proving things wrong. This did happen with Lamarck's evolutionary theory. When Darwin published "Origin Of Species" he blew Lamarck well and truly out of the water.
Darwin's work has been subjected to 150 years worth of scientific scrutiny, and has survived everything that has been thrown at it.

Coming from someone who can NOT post a question that isn't made up entirely of childish insults. You just can't do it, can you?
In answer to your question that I was able to weed out of the mocking and insults, "how has teaching evolution advanced science?"
One word. Vaccines.
You need to resort to mocking and insults because, you have NOTHING to show AGAINST the theory of evolution, and you CERTAINLY have nothing to show for your "God" or "creationism" argument. You can't debate the actual issue, so you depend on ad hominum attacks. Pathetic. (Yet oddly amusing...)

this is actually an easy question to answer, but you will have to do some research in order to satisfy your curiosity. with the advent of genetic research beginning in the 1930's, there have been incredible discoveries and advances in almost all branches of science and were found based on the principles expounded in the theory of evolution. most of these are found in medicine, others in technology, and still others in the earth sciences as well as cultural evolution...there is a whole world out there you are not privy to because of your religious stubborness. evolution is happening all around you and you seem to be blind to it. the teaching of biology is important, but the money spent on research using the tools provided by evolutionary theory is very well spent indeed. without it, we would still be in the dark ages. perhaps you prefer those times, i do not.

This is trivially easy to google. The fact the you didn't (lest you see real answers - the same reason you asked it Religion! rather than Biology) speaks volumes.
By the way billions???? No. In contrast, the knowlede of the science of evolution has contributed billions to the economy (eg. bioinformatics, resistance management in agriculture etc etc)

Well I'm not an atheist.so here i go in trying to answer your question. Most science in the world is not paid for by religious groups in fact almost none of it is. As to how has teaching the science of evolution advanced human knowledge, well we as a species now know the fields of biology, genetics, medicine, and many other fields of knowledge from the study of where we all come from.I now know were my descendants come from and it's very interesting and increases my appreciation of G-ds work. Unlike many Christians(of which I am not one) I do not see evolution and science as a way to dismiss G-d.It merely shows G-ds way of construction the universe with the laws and procedures that he uses to create with. It brings us all closer to him when we more fully understand him.
