I suppose the ones who support you, the majority of American civilians are called the silent majority, because we don't have an avenue from media, like Liberals, and actors do. But, we're here, and saying thank you, and we love you. I need you to know this. I don't want y'all to go on thinking, due to Liberal media, that most American's are against our causes, your duties, or don't love you. I could never allow that. I am doing everything within my power to support y'all, and turn any tide, that any Liberal might want to re-live another Vietnam, so I had to ask you wonderful folks this question.

I love you with all the heart I've got, and thank you guys, and gals for being you!

God Bless you, and America!

My husband doesn't use YA but I will pass these responses on to him and say THANK YOU on his behalf. A lot of the positive articles they receive get passed among each other for moral boosters. Most of them realize that the big gripe is more about the war than the military but it still disheartens them.

If it helps ease your mind some, everyone we know (military wise), KNOWS why we are in Iraq and believes in what they are doing over there. They honestly believe if they had not gone over there then more terrorists attacks would have taken place here and just wish others understood better. They would rather fight over there then have the fighting come to America. My husband is getting ready to go back to Iraq and will miss Christmas. I hate it but I CHOSE to marry a Marine so this comes with the territory. I support him 100% and trust God to bring him home safely.

Just a hint to anyone: A lot of schools send letters to them and they get a kick out of them most of all because they have children themselves and it really touches their hearts when a child says thanks for protecting them against terrorists. I try to get schools involved.

Thanks again for taking the time to say something, a little encouragement goes along way sometimes.

God Bless you all!!

To answer you truthfully,
I have always thought that the real Americans, not the talking heads on the "idiot box" (as grandad always called it), support us in every way that they can. We know deep down that everyone wants us to do our jobs and get out. We know that.
Its ppl like the one posted above that claim you can support the troops but not their mission that make me scratch my head. To support me, but dislike the job I'm doing is an insult to my profession. Those are the ones I tend to ignore. Although I do what I do so he has the right to speak his peice, and God bless him for it. I even do it so Cindy Sheehan, bless her son, can downtrod our bosses.
What we do wish; the media would turn their head for a week or two so we can do what needs doing to end this crap. I don't recall any crying when the Allies bombed a school for orphans that doubled as a tank factory. Nor was there any outrage for the thousands of displaced Germans and Japanese after our bombardments. War is an ugly terrible thing. Those that are not willing to "wallow in the slop" are the ones that constantly fight an uphill battle. This is a basic tenet of Sun Tsu, Clausewitz, and Powell doctrines.
Thanks for the support, and keep doing what you are doing. When the time strikes for action (ie at the polls) you'll do what's right! ;)

Xenypoo is right! I actually know no one who thinks this war is not necessary or is unwinnable. It make me so angry to think that if the liberals had thrown as much support into WINNING this war as they have into securing our defeat we likely would be finished by now. Our media, Hollywood, and the Senate are all working against America. The heartland of America supports our men and women who are putting their lives on the line for us back home. We love you and appreciate all you do. Spread the word! God Bless the USA!

which would be hard.... the armed forces might have its artwork decrease out for them being the voters might understand their cities, landscapes, terrain, etc. style of like Iraq and Afghanistan. The locals might have the ease, they'd conceal between the common human beings and the armed forces does not have the flexibility to tell the adaptation between a common citizen or a "insurrection". the armed forces might do some severe injury with their technologies and weapons and potential in numbers. it would be very very undesirable for the two facets, that's why an armed inhabitants continues to be one to be feared.

God bless them and you for telling them.
When I gross them any where and many times at airports I stop each one to say thank you and every one should and honk when you pass them on the road.

Yes, please don't let the loud-mouthed traitors among us lead you to believe that the work you are doing for the benefit of all is not appreciated by a majority of America.
