I noticed a question like this to atheists and thought it would be nice to hear from the other side...

I think it is very interesting to see the difference in answers versus the question to atheists. Christians seem to have much more humility and it correlates with the Bible:

"knowledge puffs up but love builds up"

Why? Are we having a contest? Faith and intelligence are two entirely different things.

"Why is it that many former Christians grow to be atheist after interpreting the bible?" i might would desire to declare a huge component to that's the church homes' fault, as maximum church homes not at all coach the "hard" areas of the Bible, so whilst a man or woman gets to a variety of areas and sees that's fantastically distinctive from the "sugar lined God" that they are taught approximately they tend to reject the Bible and Christianity as a results of fact they think of "how can God be loving, yet do all those issues". "Or, that some human beings, whilst attempting to locate info and help for the claims interior the bible, grow to be atheist." i've got no longer heard of that before, in spite of the undeniable fact that I even have heard the different happening... (i.e. C.S. Lewis) "does not it look that interpreting the bible might convey one closer with God?" with suitable interpreting it does, the issue is that folk tend to study what's declared yet proceed to be unaware of the optimal factors interior the story that the Bible does not point out, case in point the Bible does not communicate approximately how Baal (the "best" God interior the area that the Israelites had conquered) replaced into worshiped by using putting a stay toddler on a heated statue (in fact cooking it alive) as a sacrifice

I would hope to think that this was not placed here to compete, but here to help inform and help one another understand. If I were trying to outsmart or ourwit or outscholar anyone, I would just register to compete on Jeopardy where I would win money for being smarter than someone else.

That seems like a better use of my energy...how about you?

In some intances people I have been corrected about some mis-information I posted in a question or have been provided with thoughtful insight. I didn't ask if they were atheists or not but very likely could have been and I thank them. It doesn't matter to me what you call yourself if you are giving honest, sincere, or informative answers.

Probably so, but does it really matter?

I would rather be outwitted than condemned.

Not even once.

My faith in God through Jesus Christ is strengthened by what Atheists say. The Atheists say exactly what God's word said they will say, and in what way they will say it.

It's weird how they just fall into it. Truly amazing!

You are living proof that that answer is Yes, based on your posts. The thing is, a brainwashed person can't tell the difference, so really there's no point in asking the question.

While it's true, there are some pretty intelligent people out there, dear one, it's also true that they (atheists) are not forgiven.

It takes more than intelligence to go to heaven, it takes Jesus!

God bless!
