1. Mix the flour, water, , egg, cavenders spice and oil mixture together to make a batter that you dip the pickles in.
2. Take the pickles, with as much juice on it as possible, and smother it in the batter. Let sit for a little while.
3. Place the pickles in the oil to fry them until they are nice and crispy.
Tips
* These go well with mustard.
* The thicker the batter the better.
* A pre-made batter powder works just as well as flour and saves time.
* Can be fried with corn-bread or corn-flour instead of flour for a unique taste.
* If using sweet pickles or sweet gherkins, use pancake batter for a real SWEET treat for the kids!

I use the same recipe that Awwdree listed, but i use regular milk instead of buttermilk, and only use half a teaspoon of worchestershire becuase it was kind of overpowering. I use buttermilk ranch as a dip for them.
The most important thing when frying pickles is to start with GOOD pickles!!! If the pickles themselves dont have much flavor, then it really doesnt matter what you batter them in.
good luck!

My mom dips them in mustard (like you put on a hot dog) then in flour and fries them in a skillet with hot oil.
She does the same with onions.
I like the onions better.
