Radio unit

Green & green/black - right rear speaker
Purple & purple/black - left rear speaker
White & white/black - right front speaker
Grey & grey/black - left front speaker
Black - earth
Red - switched feed
Yellow - permanant feed
Orange - illumination feed
Blue - aerial control output

That was the easy bit.
Now the car

Hopefully you can identify the power feeds with a test lamp or voltmeter. Also the earth can be picked out quite easily.

Now the speakers. The first thing is to try and see the colour of the wires going to the speakers. You may be able to pick these up where they go through the door cable grumets.
If you are finding this difficult - try this, its works and it is safe.

Get a 1.5 volt torch battery. Slightly bare back all the speaker wires you have in the hole where the radio goes.
Take one of the speaker wires and hold it to the bottom (negative) on the torch battery. Now take the other wires one at a time and touch it on and off to the top (posative) of the torch battery.
When you hear a speaker click you have found the two wires to that speaker. Listen carefully and mark the wires with the location of the speaker (eg front right).
Put these two wires to one side and start again with another wire to the bottom of the torch battery - and so on.
Hopefully you will be able to identify all the speaker wires in this manner.
I actually have a torch battery with wires soldered to the top and bottom that I regulary use for this test.
The only thing you will not be able to identify is which speaker wire is posative and which speaker wire is negative. This does not really matter unless you are very critical.

Hope this helps - Best of Luck

Let me try to give you some info..... some of this is an educated guess....

Since you have a truck, I am guessing, you only have two speakers. That means, you should have two pairs of wires that goes to the speaker.

I normally use my volt meter (multi-meter) in resistance setting and start checking all the combinations. In this setting, ohm meter gives very small amount of battery power to the terminals. When you touch the right combination of the wires, you will hear a noise from the speaker you happen to "hit." With this method, I can usually identify the speaker wires. Then, I use the color code to guess which is the positive side and negative side, so I can get the phasing.

Further, once I recognized both speakers, I tie positive to poistive, and negative to negative, and supply an actual audio signal. Listen to it, then flip one of the wires, then listen to it. If one of my guesses are wrong, that combination will produce less volume.

The only other wires left are power antenna wire, if you have one.

One last note, most of today's digital multi-meter does not provide enough voltage to make this "noise" that I am talking about. I use analog type.

I strongly suggest you don't use any other source of voltage to try this, as you can fry something unexpected, if you don't know exactly what you are doing. It could lead to expensive repairs.

Good luck.

Therangerstation.com
Any one of these should have wiring info for the truck.
