The ignorance amongst our Christian brethren is just astonishing. You people think that your loving god would never command such a thing??? Are you joking??? Read Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy and Numbers and reanswer the question. Half the bible is about exactly this!!!!

No, because it would never be God Who would ever tell me to do such a thing, since He already has told me, "You shall not murder"; and God will not contradict Himself. As it says, "His sheep follow Him because they know His voice. But they will never follow a stranger. In fact, they will run away from him, because they don't recognize a stranger's voice."

This is the major contemporary issue and difference between the Judeo-Christian ethic and Islam. God's Word says, "no". In fact, it says that even if you call your brother an idiot, you have already broken the 6th commandment. Whereas the Quran contradicts itself concerning whether genocide, let alone murder, is sanctioned or not. It is why I believe Islamofascists are not really Islamic extremists, because they are just trying to be faithful to their religious duty according to how it is instructed in the Quran; not so with the Bible.

The God of Moses would command them to do just this.

The God of Moses is the serpent (Satan, the devil)

No, because it wouldn't be really God. How would I know? God said that His word is highest authority. Therefore He would never break His own word. if a spirit told me to do that, then it would be a demon pretending to be God.

The bottom 2 scriptures tells us not to fight against people, the scriptures above that tell us God would not contradict them.

Numbers 23:19:
"God is not a man, that He should lie, neither the Son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction (for what He has promised). Has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?"

Psalms 119:89-91:
"Forever, O Lord, Your Word is settled in heaven. Your faithfulness continues throughout all generations; You established the earth, and it stands. They stand this day according to Your ordinances, for all things are Your servants."

Psalms 138:2:
"...for thou has magnified thy word above all thy name."

2Cor:10:4: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Eph:6:12: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The Tannaïtic Midrash Sifre to Numbers in §157 comments on the above quoted commandment of MOSES to kill the Midianite women as well as the male children...."

"....According to the Tannaïte Rabbis, MOSES therefore had ordered the Israelites to kill all women older than three years and a day, because they were [virgins and] "suitable for having sexual relations." [138]...."

Under God's direction, Moses' army defeats the Midianites. They kill all the adult males, but take the women and children captive as sex slaves. When Moses learns that they left some alive, he angrily says: "Have you saved all the women alive? Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the female children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." So they went back and did as Moses instructed, killing everyone except for the virgins. In this way they got 32,000 virgins . ----(Numbers 31:1-54)

He wouldn't do it, He loves, not hates. But if I was told to kill everyone who didn't believe in Christ, I would know it to be the Devil. God taught not to kill, so I won't kill anyone.

Yes He does command this in the Bible on various accounts, but I as a human doesn't know if it is the Devil really speaking. I think God would be understanding.

No, because I know it wouldn't be God if such a voice told me to kill.
According to the Bible, vengeance belongs to the lord. That means he wouldn't hand the sword over to me and ask me to break one of the ten commandments (murder) or to go against Jesus' teachings that he who lives by the sword will die by the sword.

God wouldn't. If you hear voices saying such things it's time for a Dr. appointment. Genocide has been committed by other groups, not just Christians, you know.

God would never command you to do this. Our God is a loving god who loves all his children large and small. I think you have some issues going on, if you think he is commanding you to do this.
