ok so im looking for a new car for myself and the ford dealer by my house has a very nice 03 cobra with about 11,xxx miles. they are asking for i think like 27,000. would you go for the supercharged cobra or do you think it would be a better thing to just spend a tiny bit more and just the 08 mustang GT?!?!?!

god that is a hardddddd question.

how about both?

o-k back to reality. personally, i would go with the 03. i like that body style better than the newest one. and come on, wheni ts a stang your talking about, what really counts in what is under the hood !

i think in trying to replicate the body styles of the late 60's and early 70's, they missed something. it is tooo modern. Mustangs are known for being the most popular classc muscle car, so, take the 03,.....plus, that Cobra was a limited production car, and everywhere you turn, someone has a new mustang. they are pumping them out like baby rabbits.

save the money you wont be spending on the 08 and put it towards some resto-mod work on the 03. IT WILL BE WORTH IT!!!

Depends on what you want in a car. For a daily driver, there is not a better mustang than the new model as far as overall. On the other hand, there is no mistaking the 390hp in a forged block that the terminator has. If your looking for a weekend car and don't have extra money to sink into the car after you get it I'd go with the Cobra. If you want a nice smooth car that doesn't handle and drive like a horse wagon, than get the new one. I personally have driven every year mustang and love my new one. I still like getting into my 90 or my buddy's 01 Cobra for a spin, but the new one is much more refined.

It depends on what you want. The 03 Cobra was a limited production car. It is VERY fast, the factory rated it at 385HP, but in all likelyhood it was under rated and probbaly has closer to 400HP. It can be made much more powerful with simple modifications.

The 08 Mustang has only 300HP, but obviously it's totally redesigned.

So do you want the new car with a new look, or the older one with super performance.

Over all i think the Cobra takes the cake super charged, limited production fast and decent i was unhappy with the new 08 GT it to me just kinda wrecked the whole experince that was flying down the highway in a mustang!

I would go with the 08 and take the warranty. It will depend on your tastes however. If you really need the extra HP, then go with the 93 Cobra. You could really go hog wild and get a Shelby GT 500 and then have the best of both worlds.

good luck.

If i was you id get the GT. The Cobra will jus drain your gas milage, and waste more gas. My Buddy has an 07' Gt 5sp and it keeps accelerating up to like 130 then slowes down. We topped it out at 150. So idk where you gotta straight away large enuff for the Cobra to get up the the speeds its capable of but id stick with the GT. My buddy drives like a moran and still gets like 15.5 mean while the Cobra would likely get 12. Plus with the Gt you got the warrenty

Test drive both - I found the new mustang hugely disappointing, the new ones looks are much better though but their are so many of them out there that its a bit lost in the crowd.
