Love and respect is earned.
There is a certain amount of respect and compassion we give to other people based just on them being human and being able to make their way through the world. That basic civility is ingrained into us and helps us unite and work together.
As we get to know people, they either earn more of our love and respect or lose it. We shouldn't be ashamed of forming opinions, unless those opinions are based on trivialities.
I'm in a happy mood, too, but I generally am.

Not unless we can all agree on the supreme value we do those specific things (love and respect) for.
Do you respect someone who is abusing an animal?
Do you love your husband more than your neighbor? Why not?
There has to be a standard that we can all agree on that is not subjective.

I don't give away my love that freely, and my respect has to be earned. There are many I respect on all sides of R&S and I like to think I show that respect enough.

No. The human mind and body evolved through millions of years of evolution to adapt us to lives with short lifespans, intense struggle and violent competetion. We are literally cave-men living in cities.

I treat and think of everyone exactly the same until they change my view of them. Unfortunately people work very fast to define themselves.
