Stopped race due to rain pass 1/2 way mark ..but they started it again knowing it would take an hour to dry and there would not be enough daylight to finish the race. Race should have been over due to the rain OR they should have waited until a time and day the race could be finished,It has happened how many times before ? I cheer for many drivers ,I felt very bad that so many of the chase drivers were in accidents and felt it was due to Nascar misjudgement .Maybe there needs to be a change in Nascar too.I think Greg Biffle was just so excited he just forgot to finish the race .The race should have been over at the call of rain or finished another day.It was a screwed up mess...

The way they handled the rain is actually the one consistent thing they did on Sunday. NSACAR has always tried to run as much of the race as possible on the day of the race. If that amount is half or more it’s a race if its not then they redo the whole thing. The key thing here is “as much of the race as possible”. Even in the earlier rain shortened event at Poconos they would have restarted a second time if they could have dried the track with enough daylight to run lap.

NO!!! NASCAR has the right to call the race if the weather conditions are not in their favor. In other words, if that rain looked like it was not going to stop. You were not at the race track. We coud see blue horizon to the west. They announced over the speakers that the storm was going to come fast and leave fast before it ever even got there. It took forty five minutes longer to dry the track than they told us it would. The race was supposed to start back up at five thirty. There would have plenty of time to get the rest of the race in before dark. They did all they could so us people THERE could see as much racing as we could for the money we paid. Sorry it was such an inconvenience to you sitting home on your couch. But if you would have spent a few hundred on tickets, then gas and lodging, you would have went the other way and cursed them for only giving you 130 some laps.

I thought the race did end w/ the that rain delay b/c it was 1/2 thru...but then this morning it said it re started...i think that is kinda messed up! I think if NASCAR wanted to finish the race they should have changed the day or something or left it where it was after the 2nd red flag! I read about the ending, guess it was something I should have seen to be able to judge what exactly happened....from all accounts I have read Biffle didnt really finish the race, yet won, am I understanding that right? Sounds a bit fishy to me!
Heck even Jeff Gordan said boywer should have won and that hurts his pts worse than biffle winning....

They change the rules every time Gordon and Johnson are in trouble or winning.Bunch of crap..Seem to recall Gordon in the lead and winning during a rain delay that lasted alot less than a few hrs..Better get use to it ,same crap different day!!!

I completly agree, the chase was affected more from the accident than if they would have stopped the race. But again, the 2 special drivers jj and jg were in the back, nascar needed to give them time to make up the lap, no matter who else was affected. That wreck should have never happened.

Sorry NASCAR FANS but Bill France Jr. is a cheat and a baffoon(a freakin idiot) and if your stupid enough to watch this so-called sport your getting what you deserve, try being a fan of a real sport like baseball, football, basketball or hockey , you see they have a set of rules that they obey and all teams have a even chance of winning, not just the ones with the biggest sponcership.

I agree but..lets move on..nothing we can do about it..To bad this track did not have lights, then they could have kept on racing.. I'm not happy about what happened......But its time for 'dega, and I'm so ready..I love this track..
