My boyfriend and I are noral serious couple after a little more than a year. Yesterday I was out for a few hours, when I got home telling him about some fun and exciting things I wanted to tell him...I was bored and was like "let me see your phone", He grabbed it back looking at his messages - I said what something I cant see? He said "yea youll prolly get mad, let me look" We have issues with him and drugs and thats usually what i get mad about if I see some textes. But thats no secret so Im mad he held his phone for a few secs. I let him be and was mad. You think there could be more to hide? Should I have not even attempted to see his phone? Later he siad he was just about to hand it to me, But I told him he chose too late. We havent talked since yesterday - I think he should approuch me about it....

There's two ways to look at this...one is his phone is his business and texts and his call log are private and not your biz...however, if you know he's prone to behavior that is self destructive and illegal, why are you still with him? It's apparent he's got something to hide, even though you shouldn't be snooping.
I really don't think the 2 of you are a good match.

I agree that your boyfriend does seem to behaving out of character from what you have described. I would tread carefully if I was you. He could be telling you the truth and if you pursued it potentially it could backfire on you and who knows what might happen. Keep in mind as well that guys are stubborn creatures. So if you want to know something they usually rebel instantly. My advice is to drop the subject for a bit. Pretend like you've forgotten about it. When the phone re-appears discreetly take a look at the messages and call history. Decide from there.

i think if you are a couple snd he is trying to hide something on his phone its probably something you dont want to see, he could be talking to another girl and so on, I had the same problem with my ex I ended up braking the phone because he kept hiding his phone from me. I did find out he was talking to girls so I had every right to be mad. If he is going to continue this behavior I would go on with my life without him

You already know the answer. He's hiding it for a reason--he has something on there that would hurt you. He's not going to approach you about it. He's going to try and act like it never happened so he doesn't have to answer for behavior.

He is hiding his cell phone, just like he is hiding his other relationships. Is his name Pat?

don't look through your boyfriend's phone. that's his personal business that you have no right to. how can you expect to build trust in your relationship if you don't grant him privacy in certain areas? i think you need to appologize.
