Eating a good breakfast does indeed start your metabolism, especially one packed with protein. I like wheat toast with peanut butter and sugar-free strawberry jam, fried egg whites with a little cheese thrown in (I use non-stick fat-free spray when I fry my egg whites), turkey bacon or sausage, definitely oatmeal, fat-free milk, diet V-8 splash, fruit.

No you can not eat anything. It is said that if ones biggest meal is breakfast. That it's good for losing weight. Because you have more hours to burn it off. 1)Good thing to eat are Fruits and cottage low fat cheese. The fruits whatever kinds you like most. 2) a bowl of cereal not the sweetened kind.
With 1% milk. 2 slices of whole grain bread. a small glass of OJ juice tea or coffee if you prefer. 3) A regular breakfast of eggs and ham. 1 or 2 slices of toast. Juice preferably the unsweetened kind. could be grape orange or cranberry. The numbers are 3 examples of things you can eat for breakfast. With each meal try to drink a small glass of water. And try to stay away from junk food like pop tarts. Things loaded with sugar are loaded with calories.

In theory, I suppose it works. However, whether it's 8 a.m. or 8 p.m. the body will process food the same way. Whole wheat toast with all-natural fruit spread is much better for for the body than a jelly donut, which is pure junk. I use the all-natural fruit spread, not the sugar free jelly, like Smucker's, which has artifical sweetners and other chemicals in in to compensate for the lack of corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup, which is in conventional jellies.

Most mornings I have whole grain cereal that is lacking corn syrup and high fructose corn syurp and other artificial stuff. It's not easy to find, but it's out there. (I eat a lot of Cheerios and store equivalents.) I use vanilla soy milk as well. Or, I'll have oatmeal cooked on the stove. Instant oatmeal has sugars in it. I sweeten my oatmeal with real maple syrup.

Of course, I just don't start my day with real food. I eat it during the day as well.

Calories are calories are calories. You can't gorge yourself at breakfast, just because you think you have all day to burn it off. Are you exercising for a few hours between breakfast and lunch? Because if you're just sitting at a desk or something, you're burning as many calories as you would be at night--when people say you're not supposed to eat. That's really just old school thinking--not eating at night. It really doesn't make that much of a difference. I eat late everynight after I get back from the gym, and I'm thin. You need to worry more about how many total calories you're getting. It's that simple. There are no tricks to it.

It's better to eat a heavy breakfast than a heavy dinner, that's for sure.
If you eat a big breakfast, by lunch time you'll probably notice you still feel full.

Yes it is true. Only this morning I ate a 3/4 ton Ford truck.
I figure it will be burned off by dinnertime.
