Hiya C&C. I see you have found some more nutty incidences of natural phenomena. Good for you. Here's one. It's not raining outside...yet.

act of a natural occurance. as far as "blow up" do you mean an event that totally eradicates the planet or just something enough to make the planet uninhabitable to humans.

the collision of the andromeda and milky way galaxy in the distant future will certainly obliterate the earth.

tracked commets that strike the earth might damage the planet and its atmosphere so much that we can't live here but won't "destroy" the planet.

Your answers will range from scientific to religious explanations. They are natural occurrences from God. As a believer, God is in everything, He created this earth, and this to shall pass away, as dictated in His word. As a believer, these catastrophic disasters are all an act of God. My input as a believer.

This world right now would be a scary place if I did not know that my God is in control. God explains in the Word of God the Holy Bible that these things will come in the latter days before the Lord returns. It even says that men's hearts will fail them for fear of the things coming upon the earth. Do not fear these things, but get to know the God who is in control who sent His Son Jesus the Christ.

It depends on where you come down on the whole God "thing". If you believe in God, then it's an act of God. If not, then it's a natural occurence.

"Earthquakes and solar weather and cyclonic storms and tornados."

By definition, all natural occurances that can be explained via physical science.

An "act of God" would be something that defies a scientific explanation - the earth suddenly winking out of existence, for example.

If the world blows up from a simple Earthquake or Volcano, I will gladly admit (after the fact) that I am wrong and God exists.

God is imaginary, and the occasional volcano or earthquake is about as likely to cause the earth to blow up as one of your ripping good posts is.

I live in Wellington, and didn't even notice that earthquake.

But yeah, it could be either, tho' as an atheist I'd say a natural occurrence is far more likely.

A natural occurence. Even if you believe in god, why would a loving god be a mass murderer? You have the same mentality as tribes thousands of years ago doing rain dances.
