i am doing a painting, on a canvas, can any one tell me what paint i should use?
i want to use like bronze n gold, n browns, but want a pastle effect?, should i use oil?acrylic?

i dont want it to luck shiny, just like a old kind of matt look...

Acrylic Gouache sounds perfect for you. It has a matte finish (although the metallics by their nature have a glint to them), they give good coverage, and they are easy to work. Ordinary gouache will not cohere very well, so acrylic gouache is perfect. Jo Sonja is a good brand for this purpose. Lidy :o)

Acrylic... you can get all sorts of metallics. {Not that I'd recommend using them}

They're the easiest to use and work nicely on pre-primed canvas.

i would go for using the oil paints they give off a more vibrant effect in my opinion.

i recommend acrylic, it always worked best for me :)
