That one that does peyote...who was it, now...oh, yeah, the Sioux.

The only denominations that are right are the ones who follow the word of God. True all denominations have problems but it is up to the people in the faith to search out the word for themselves and get what God wants them to know. And we have to remember when we die and go to heaven God does not judge the church or denomination that we were in but he judges us individually based on how we followed his word.

i don't think that there is any specific denomination that "truly" follows Christ. it is more of a personal relationship between the person and Christ.
i believe this because i have been to many churches in my life, each a different denomination, and they did have their doctrine (as a denomination; ie catholic, protestant).
i call myself non-denominational person who follows Christ. i am a Christian who loves Christ and i don't need a specific doctrine to tell me how to believe, what to believe, what to pray, how to pray. my relationship with Christ is between Him and i.

I dont believe any denomination truely follows Christ. I think that the only thing that truely follows Christ is the person who seeks to know him whole heartedly even if it seems that it takes them outside of the comforts and confindement of any religion. Religion is jus mans way of trying to understand God.........Jesus said to worship God "in truth and in spirit". To me that means in the heart and not jus with ur eyes and ears. The only requirement is that u believe he died for ur sins and repent.

Personally I do not believe there is any denomination that truly follows Christ who was sent by GOD to show mankind the way to return to GOD from whence he came.
There was GOD, then there was man... and when man separate himself from GOD... christ was sent to show man the way back to GOD... for GOD so loved the world/mankind, that he gave his only begotten son, etc...

Fine, I'll take a stand, I feel that the Reformed/Presbyterian faith follows the Bible the closest. Why? Have you seen some of the stuff that comes out of it? It's modified Judaism (I'd say more so than Arminianism), taking the OT into account just as much as the NT, putting us on our knees before the LORD in repentance as well as comfort.

We are told "to follow Paul as he followed Christ". Paul never knew Christ in His earthly ministry, and the Bible tells us that we are to know NO man according to his flesh. Since we dont know Christ according to His flesh, but only in the SPIRIT, then Pauls assessment is correct. WE follow the RISEN Christ who is Spirit.
This is not a denomination, but a belief system that is based on the Bibles teaching. Unfortunately, most of professing Christendom is trying to follow Christs EARTHLY ministry and teachings, which HE said Himself "were to the lost sheep of the House of Israel." They are in the wrong program and following the wrong instructions for the present economy that God has chosen to operate in.
Our instructions for today are not found in the red letter words of Christ on the EARTH, but in the words of Christ RISEN which He revealed to the apostle Paul specifically TO and ABOUT we who are the church which is His Body.
The gospel of our salvation is NOT found in Peters words, or Mt, Mk, Lk and Jn. They are not even found in the words of Christ while He was on the earth. The gospel that saves today is found ONLY in the letters of Paul. Interesting fact , ehh?
So, I dont belong to a denomination....denominations are NOT Gods idea. He tells us to be of ONE Mind, and to maintain the unity of the SPIRIT. Does that sound like hundreds of different "denominations?"
I believe what I do because its what the Bible teaches when you study it as God tells us to in 2 Tim. 2:15.
God had a program for the Nation Israel which had to do with the law of Moses and Prophecy and an earthly people.
That program has been temporarily SET ASIDE by God Himself.
The program we are currently in is called the dispensation of the Grace of God , or the "preaching of Jesus Christ ACCORDING TO THE REVELATION of the MYSTERY..." Romans 16:25
When God is finished building His Body, He will come for those who are His followers , but He will come SECRETLY , in the AIR.
Then the program with the Nation Israel will RESUME where it left OFF. Christs second coming to the EARTH, which all will SEE, will occur in the future , AFTER He has taken away His church, the Body of Christ.
All of this is confirmed solidly in the scriptures.

I don't think any one denomination follows God more than the other. I think each one has their own belief system based on what they've read in the bible and how they believe it should be interpreted. I think we all need to pray and read God's word and obey Him in order to truly believe in Him.

I would not be so arrogant or sanctimonious as to name 1 denomination. That would be judgemental and I prefer to leave that to Christ. All believers strive to follow Christ but Christ said that not all who call me "Lord, Lord" will be saved. We are told to work out our own salvation, to treat others as we would have them treat us, love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind. He also said that "they will know you are Christians by your Love." We will all know the true Church one day won't we?

none of them.
we only have second-hand (at best) accounts of what Jesus might have said, and those were compiled wel lafter the fact by those building the early Catholic Church as both a religious and political entity. There was too much opportunity for doctoring things to fit their agendas.
That the early Church went to such great lengths to exterminate all other early Christian groups (even moreso than going after pagans), this supports my position. If 12 perople witness an event, and one of those 12 murders the rest, that survivor is clearly attempting to hide something.
