Tab is still around. It's not very popular these days so it's not widely distributed. Our local coke distributor carries it (in 12 packs only) but only has it in a few stores and usually only when there's a huge sale on. Stuff like that won't sell at regular price, but people are more likely to say "hey.. i remember that.." and grab it if it's really cheap.

And yeah, tab has had all sorts of awful ingredients over the years. It was one of the first diet sodas out there and the original artificial sweeteners they used were pretty bad for you. It's been reformulated several times and currently uses aspartame as the sweetener.

It was the first diet soda back in the 70's. After it caught on, the cola companies started improving their recipies and came out with diet coke, diet pepsi, etc., but Tab stayed around a few years because some people had grown used to it. It eventually disappeared, probably because it was too similar to diet coke to be marketed separately. It may still be around, it just isn't advertised or popular, but I haven't seen it in a few years.

Coca Cola people have made a few mistakes Tab was one and New Coke was another. Its all about the money if it doesn't sell well it goes off the assembly line.

its a bit like vanilla coke, lemon (fat) coke and i think this new orange coke wont last either

I recall Tab, with its pink can. I didnt care for it personally, I have always been a coke classic fan, and never bought in on the whole new coke bit. That they claim was the greatest free advertising scheme in the history of soda and in free market. News around the world carried the word. Anyways

Not sure where you are from but I think you can still get it in America , I hear it on films all the time. I remember it though, I think it tasted crap though. I'm a coke fan. Do you remember Umbongo. THAT was the drink of all drinks.

You can still get it in WV and OH. But this stuff isn't good for you. An ex-coworker of mine had an unopened can of it that had a cancer warning on it. He set it on top of his fridge and a year later it had eaten through the can and was beginning to eat through the fridge.
