YUP, doesn't matter what type street it is. I hesitate and check both directions when a traffic light changes also. I have seen too many drivers who don't pay attention.

Always. It is not just other cars one has to watch out for. Even on a one way street, bicyclists commonly ride the wrong way.

And how could a driver neglect the possibility of a pedestrian crossing that intersection.

Any one who does NOT look both ways, even onto a one way street, is a negligent driver.

The one ways where i live... YES cuz if seen dumb drunks come barreling down the wrong way oblivious to the cars that have to get over so they don't smash into em head on (some people can't tell the difference between a white and a yellow line apparently) Or see the big ole WRONG WAY signs!!!

I always do in case someone is coming the wrong way, a bicycle,motorcycle or a car.
