The Japanese were real active and were interested in almost taking over the world. They were f-ing with the Philippines, Chinese, Koreans, everybody. They stopped where we dropped two atomic bombs on their country killing most of the people in those areas and giving the rest a life of cancer and health problems. Afterwards they calmed down.

hazeltine4: The A-bomb was a punishment to the Japanese. It was a punishment to all the wrongs they did to other cultures. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough. We dropped two of them. They deserved it. If we do this more often other countries wouldn’t f with us.

You are obviously not much of a scholar on history and have difficulty spelling "stopped". The Japanese had lost most of their navy and air force by the time those big bombs were dropped. The war was being brought to the Japanese home islands. They would fight to the death to protect those islands which would have seen much more death and distruction all over Japan than that which was confined to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Those two cities were heavily into manufacturing war materials as Stuttgärt was for the Germans or Detroit for the USA. To carpet bomb such factories would not have been as effective as much of it had gone underground. The first bomb on Hiroshima did not make the Japanese surrender but the Nagasaki one a few days later sent the clear message that we intended to end it right there. Remember, too, that the bombs we dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki are babies compared to the average nuke we have in our arsonal today.

Wouldn't you stop messing with "people?" They were clearly losing the war in the Pacific, but refused to surrender. The U.S. Dropped the first bomb in hopes the Japanese would call a truce. Unfortunatley they didn't. The U.S. did not want to go in on a ground offensive and risk killing tens-of-thousands of Americans, Japenese, and civilians. So they dropped the second bomb. This proved desisive and the Japenese did the right thing by surrendering.

The bombs actually didn't stop the Japanese. The Japanese where still willing to fight, but then the Russians attacked the Japanese in Manchuria. The Japs were fearful of the harsh regime that the Russians would have installed. (Probably a good move, i.e East Germany)

By the time the bombs were dropped on Japan the Japanese forces had been virtually defeated OUTSIDE the Japanese home islands.
The only reason the bombs were dropped were to save over 5 million U.S. and Allied casualties that had been estimated it would have took to invade the main Islands of Japan.

You must be young. I will only address the A-bomb portion. We dropped one for two reasons, to get the Japanese to surrender and second to let the soviet union think we had allot of them and going farther into eastern Europe would not be wise. It was a bluff we only two but it somewhat worked.

I believe it was the ruling party at that time, and not the Japanese people as a whole. They rulers stopped afterward because they were forced to in order to survive.
As with any country, im sure there were plenty of Japanese citizens that were not happy with how the country was run at that time.

Because the Japanese looked at the A-bombs as weapons of peace -- not war. They took it as a sign to end wars involving their country. If you go to Hiroshima, even the museum at the bomb site is called the Peace Museum. It is a very humbling experience -- especially visiting it as an American!

bombing can be done by any irresponsible country, but if a ruler feels about their citizens then they wii do as the japaneese.if some one justifies bombing as a remedy for all world attrocities they also faces the same destiny.gandhian philosophy is the only solution in international and personal conflicts, not the bombibgs and its justifications,if some one justifies killing others then they are in fools paradise

1. They surrendered. Can't be too aggressive when you are being occupied.
2. Their constitution is written so they can only have defense forces and no offensive capability.
3. It is much better to beat the world economically.

You might want to read a little more history ... especially that dealing with the Japanese culture before stating something as ignorant as that.
