For about 2 or 3 days now my 6ish year old cat Ash appears to be limping around. She still manages to jump on chairs or up the stairs, but she seems to almost collapse sometimes when she puts her wait on her back right leg it seems, might be both. We are going tot he vets tomorrow with her to get it checked out, but was hoping someone here might be able to give an answer. She doesn't appear to be in much pain, and is acting normally, if a bit more lazy.
Thanks
Gav

If she goes outside much, she may have been bumped by a car. Even the slightest bump can break a bone to a critter. You need to get her to the Vet TODAY. She could have a number of other aliments if she is just a house kitty. It could be arthritis or someone could have stepped on her. She may have sprained her hip, dyspepsia. A number of things, but it needs to be checked out and she is doing the one thing she knows best, REST!! She knows she isn't feeling well. The one thing you didn't put up, is she using the kitty box regularly? Could be a kidney stone, they get those too. It could be a number of things. You should try rubbing your hand gently down her side to see if you can tell if there are any broken bones. But becareful too, if there is, she may try to bite you if she is in any type of pain. GET HER TO THE VET TODAY. It is important! If it is a broken bone, YOU DON'T WANT IT TO HEAL BACK WRONG!! Let her lay on a HEATING PAD, set on low or medium. She will LOVE that!!

" I am sure it is a pulled tendon or a strained muscle."

WHY are you sure? HOW can you be sure, you haven't seen the cat, you don't know anything about it!

I know you're looking for answers before you get to the vet, but the reason you're going to the vet is to GET the answers. There are so many possible causes of this problem, I can't even begin to list them. Your cat is not old though, she's not even middle aged. And cats rarely show the pain they're in, so that's no indicator.

Good luck at the vets, and don't take any notice of what people's guesses on here, it isn't helpful. Mostly it just makes people paranoid.

More than likely she hurt herself jumping / playing around. Cats are crazy sometimes and they try to jump to stuff they can't reach. You are doing the right thing by taking her to the vet. They will help! Good luck!

She could have sprained or fractured one of her legs or even torn a ligament. She definitely needs to be seen by a vet though. Try to keep her from jumping on things until she gets checked out by a vet.

Age is probably catching up with her. I am sure it is a pulled tendon or a strained muscle. Could even be a pinched nerve. Cats are like people, we don't stay young forever and eventually age catches up with us. You are doing right by taking her to the vet.
