My wife and I are wanting to remodel our bathroom. We want to have a huge walk in shower but, this would force us to scrap the tub. We have a 2nd full bath with tub. Would this lower the value of the home to not have a tub in the master bath?

I don't think you have to worry. A lot of master bedrooms..including mine, just have a shower in the ensuite. You can always walk down the hall if you want to have a bath. I think a lot of people prefer showers. Hope your second bathroom has a shower too.

I would opt for the huge walk-in shower if I were you. I don't think you'd ever regret it.

Many remodels are removing the tub to replace with a shower. As long as you have another bath with a tub, I don't think it will lower the value.

Honestly for resale you MUST have a tub in the Master. Think about it, the master bath is all about luxury. You still can resell, but may put off too many buyers.

save the space. If you live a busy lifestyle, you won't use it. If you like ot take the time and relax and sit in the tub, by all means, but if you're like 95 percent of the population, save the space.
